Tobias was off hunting, which meant Rachel had some time to do some training. Her gun is at the bottom of her bag back at their campsite - which is where it's been since even before Tobias arrived. She hasn't lifted it in ages, much less practiced shooting, but there have been other things to do.
Forget the job at the farm. She didn't understand it anyway.
Morphing was all well and good but the difficult part only lasted thirty seconds, a few minutes at most. After that, her mind is free to wander. Rachel wants to be distracted, occupied but hiding behind the mind of her morph is... not an option. Not right.
It was stupid. A couple of ghosts and she already knew she couldn't fight them. What was she going to do? Research? Watch and learn? They didn't need her for that.
Gymnastics was good to keep her mind occupied. If she worked hard enough, she'd be too focused on her body to think much. And things are fine anyway, she'll stress herself out over nothing.
She didn't want to go anyway.
She'll work up to gymnastics. Right now, she's running on the road out of Metropolis, working up her heart rate, stretching before trying anything new.
It was a stupid job.

"You're that gymnast guy," she informs him after a moment, surprised.

"Guilty as charged," he agrees, grinning. "I'd be more worried about spilling secret identities, but in this world it just doesn't seem to matter so much, you know."

"So how's the gymnastics going? Did you find a teacher?"
no subject
Which might be why she ran five miles on her own for no outwardly obvious reason.

He yawns, stretching. "Is everything OK?"
She did just, you know, run five miles on her own for no apparent reason.

She tosses the empty water bottle back to him.
"Just working on this body since the other ones are fine. Thanks for that."

"I know Dinah runs training sessions back at the farm," he offers, thoughtfully. "But she's not, hmmm. Not so much for the gymnastic side of things."
He is totally considering teaching people again. He just needs a little nudge.

She isn't welcome there.
"I do what I can for hand-to-hand. I'm more worried about gymnastics. If I can get distance, I can morph."

Thinky Dick is thinky. He rubs his chin.
"Are you - you work with Winchester, yeah? Are you busy for a while? I mean, if I was looking at taking on any kinda apprentice or anything, it'd be serious hard work."

That he knows of - and Tobias might not want her saying much.
Eyebrows lift up high and she stares at him for a minute. "You want to train me?"

Wait a little while, get a teacher that moves like nothing she's ever seen, that can teach her to compensate for her height and her build.
"...I'll be here when you're done. Let me know when you're done considering."

Which just makes her frown again, sulky again.
"I'll be around. There's a campsite in the woods about a mile east of the entrance to Metropolis - that's were I stay."

This is an abject lie.

Dick takes it at face value, even though he really knows better.
He has things to do too.
"See you around, then, okay?"
