Tobias doesn't like Metropolis all that much, but it's not as bad as it could be. After all, it's not really a... metropolis. Not a bustling one. Sure there are tons of refugees, but that's just a drop in the bucket of what the city is designed to handle.
He's spent the past few days watching Rachel work out. She runs hard, practices gymnastics, and generally pushes herself. He's not surprised by the pushing, but it's new to see her working out her human body. Not that he disagrees with her reasoning, of course.
And it's been nice just to be near her again. He feels like the three years without her were a bad dream.
He's been out hunting, and now he's gliding back to their most recent crash space.

Jo's head tilted, eyes narrowing on him with wary curiosity.

This isn't exactly an answer to his clarification.
That doesn't stop it from being entirely honest, either.

Because that's a useful thing to say.

She may not have been really trying.
"Have any more questions?"
no subject
That's it.
For now.

It easy for a lifetime bar girl.
"So, you're from her world. Same universe and time line?"

"She was just gone?"
Well, wasn't that different from Milliways.
Stupid apocalypse verse.

He doesn't elaborate.

Only to close promptly.
She tilted her head, blinking, as her mouth firmed.
Then she reached up a hand and dug it into her hair, running her fingers along her scalp, as she looked off at a tree over to his left.
"Maybe not as well as I thought."

That's a common feeling when you spend time around Rachel.
no subject
She'd like that not to bother her more. It still does.
She didn't say anything for about half a minute just watching that tree.
Then theres was a wry lilt to her voice.
"She going to kill you for telling me?"
This was Rachel, after all.

Like that would stop Rachel.

Jo says she knows Rachel. Is she surprised?

Something easier to focus on when he moves.
Jo pursed her lips, tone unhelpfully bland, "She out here?"
no subject
no subject
"Helpful."
