Two things are wrong with this picture:

One, Chainsaw is standing beside a massive crater full of dirty water and dead squid.

Two, there's a sun in the sky and not a cliff in sight.

Three, those aren't even squid.

There's something very wrong here, Abel thinks. His vision is dotted with rainbow lights and his head...

He presses both hands against his forehead.

Shadow. Rustle. Squish.

"Cain?"

Chainsaw is abruptly disinterested in the fact that apparently he got shoved into a live world while he wasn't looking.

Abel will suddenly find himself unable to move.

Then he'll find himself standing up and turning to face--

--no. Not Cain. Taller. Broader in the shoulder. Less hair. More leather trenchcoat.

The smile is more or less the same, though.

Well, fuck.

Abel's moving without really commanding his body; it's weird and weird and pleasemakeitstopit'sfreaky. This man, whoever he is, is not the fighter to his navigator.

He swallows, eyes welling up with tears.

"Don't..."

He's just like Cain, except scarier.

Chainsaw stalks closer, shrugging off his trenchcoat and tossing it over a nearby rock. Underneath: black jeans, black T-shirt, black workboots. The guy has a theme, apparently.

Oh, and the belt? Royal purple. (A theme and no sense of style.)

"Who said I was gonna hurt you?"

He reaches out-- gently, hesitantly even-- to brush the pads of two fingers over the scar on Abel's lip.

Then he smirks.

"Tell me where you got that," he orders.

Please back off now. Abel's backing away...slowly now. It's no surprise he trips on something slimy.

The guy's hand grazes his mark, Cain's mark. Eep, please don't touch. Really, go away now, Abel doesn't want you here, not when he's trying to be manly and, goddamnit, don't cry!

"C-" He stutters. "C-cain gave it to me."

"And who is," bright and light and derisive, "C-cain?"

His hand closes lightly on Abel's chin. It's control, not that grip, that keeps Chainsaw's new toy immobile.

Abel doesn't really answer. He's too busy stifling the noises bubbling up his throat.

Purely out of academic curiosity, what happens if Chainsaw kisses him?

Assuming he's prohibited from moving away, but not from fighting back.

He can push all he wants; Chainsaw's not going anywhere.

After a few very delicious seconds, though, he pulls away (not by much) and cradles Abel's face in his hands. The gentleness is bizarre in context.

"Silly me," he murmurs, "not introducing myself. I'm Chainsaw. You?"

'Too traumatized to respond intelligibly' is not an acceptable answer, for the record.

Chainsaw leans in and runs the tip of his tongue up the crease of the scar, then licks his lips.

"Do you like it when he hurts you, Abel?"

"Good," he husks, and kisses him again.

He blinks, trying to clear the spots from his eyes, and automatically takes control off Abel to deal with the more immediate threat of whoever just broke his fucking wrist.

Obviously, Abel is happy. Very happy to see you, Cain. Except not because you are a bastard and Holy Mother Mary he can't see you at the moment. But seriously, Cain, Abel is very glad you came to his rescue.
