Meanwhile around New York

Kate still tried to do patrols around the city where she could. She was out on the streets, and underground, it was ok getting around. At least she was getting used to the extra weight. Kind of. She was wearing some looser clothes she found. There was a spare robe in the one of the rooms that was actually kind of comfortable. She then took a step, and paused. She then glanced and placed a hand to her stomach.

....Was that a kick?

He runs over, "What's goin' on, ye well, love?"

She grabbed his hand and placed it on her stomach.

"We got a little fighter."

There were more tiny kicks against their hands.

Will just beams, his face lighting up as he kisses her since he just doesn't have the words at the moment.

She kissed him back, their hands still linked on her stomach. More insistent kicks as her heart rate quickened from Will's kiss and closeness.

In time he breaks the kiss and smiles at her,

"Canna believe it, 'ow'd I get so lucky."

"Just did, and you're a good guy, should get something good for once."

She added, "Ran into Kern before, he's going to help me radio the farm and Metropolis for supplies. Maybe we can get a doctor up here to make sure they're ok."

"Oh aye, wish ye to be safe an 'ealthy. 'rhaps should 'ead in, love."

Kate then made a face, and nodded.

Another drawback of a kicking baby is their feet meeting kidneys and bladder.

"Yeah, let's go, gotta swing by the little girls room again."

He is there if she needs to be leaned on but he's trying really hard not to show his worry too much,

"Aye, love."

Kate wasn't at waddling pace yet. She was definitely bigger but not huge yet. She was walking a bit slower these days though. Not jogging like she used to.

"Stop worrying so much, I'm fine. Really. Sure it's normal."

"Oh aye, course."

"Yeah, completely normal to be huge and my hair's a mess." She started sniffling, "and can't see my feet, and I miss my uniform a-and..."

Stupid mood swings.

"Shh, ye're beautiful an I love yer 'air an all o'ye."

He strokes her back as they start to near the castle.

"But-but I can't patrol as much as I used to, and can't I just have this kid now or you be big for the rest of it?" Still sniffling and wiping her eyes.

"Will make it all work, me love, dinna worry."

"I-I'm not worried, I'm just upset, and don't know w-why." She cried softly, even though part of her was annoyed since she shouldn't be upset, but she was.

He draws her into a hug and helps her sit down at the steps of Hogwarts, rocking her gently and singing to her,

"Shh, just let it out."

She shook and cried more against him, carefully putting her arms around his neck. She tucked her head into the hollow of his shoulder. Even huge, she still fitted with him.

He keeps singing quietly and rocking her, just keeping her as safe as he can.

She wiped her eyes some more, and then tried to get up quickly. But doesn't quite work when your center of gravity's off. Still upset, but needed to get inside still.

"Gotta head in."

"Oh aye, can rest together, 'rhaps 'ave some soup."

He's there to steady her as much as she'll let him on their way upwards.

She was grateful for it, but even more relieved to find a restroom inside. There was a deep sigh of relief, and then flushing before she emerged.

There was another simpering voice in the room, and Kate came out, yelling back, "Yeah, well so's your face!"

She rolled her eyes, "Seriously I know she's dead, but can't she get a hobby or something?"

"Dinna mind 'er, she's just jealous."

Kate gets a quick kiss from Will and a grin.

"Let's give her a real reason to be jealous," She smirked back, and kissed him back for a longer one. Can't do a lot like this, but can still make out some.

He loves her kisses and she still fits so perfectly to him as he deepens the kiss and his hands move around her body.
