It's been a number of days since Johriel and Jono first encountered that invisible monster.

She wasn't afraid of it then and she's not now.

However.

(That creature is beginning to irritate me,) she informs Jono with characteristic haughtiness. (Must we keep fleeing every time it starts up its racket?)

She ignores the fact that in a literal sense that would be impossible, and nods.

(Very well. Please try not to die while I am away; apart from the fact that you might be that which I am charged by the First Light to protect, it would be upsetting.)

And then off she goes in the direction of the very noisy monster.

Jono just sighs, and settles back to watch.

The sounds of rampant destruction are shortly accompanied by the sounds of an invisible monster yelping in pain.

Some time later, she returns, dusting her hands off dramatically and looking very smug.

"Johriel jlyss," she declares triumphantly-- then adds for his benefit, (The vanquishing of invisible monsters is not so difficult as you make it out to be, really.)

(You mentioned that some time ago. We have not seen any in the interim. Possibly they were all slaughtered by the invisible creature.)
