So, one moment, Jono had been in a Weapon X stronghold, waiting the second session of reconstructive surgery that would restore his face. They'd already restored his neck, and Jono hadn't quite managed to get over that yet. He kept rubbing at it, to make sure it was real and solid, not going to fall away any second.

The flash of light had been an unwelcome surprise. What he saw when the light had cleared was even more unwelcome. He was in the centre of some clearly wrecked city on the coast. No Weapon X soldiers in sight, no stronghold, no scientists. No doctors to put his face back together.

Jono doesn't speak - There's nobody for him to project his thoughts to, after all. The explosion that engulfs several of the buildings around him, however, should speak for itself.
