Sam took great delight in frequently asking 'are we nearly there yet?' as they travelled. Then his attention was rather sharply drawn by all the snow and ice around San Francisco.
Then his attention was even more sharply drawn by the sudden storm that picked up, tossing them around. Their landing was ... rather rough. They hit a tree, among other things.
Twenty minutes later, Sam is shivering from the cold as he inspects the engine of the car.
"Why is everything so cold here?" It is, indeed, very cold. San Francisco appears to be not only utterly wrecked, but also entirely deserted and covered in snow (almost up to Sam's knees) and frost. After a moment's staring at the engine. "Guys, we're going to need a bunch of new parts for this thing."

"How dare you!? Fool child, you will bring only trouble upon us, run before we bring her back to us."

"See this? They can't stop us. We can fight back."

"We have each other and before she came it was worse, death from the sea and sky, she keeps us safe. If your friends are out there then they will die or join you, why should we care?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't know." Her eyes started to dull a little more.
Maybe it's not that bad just staying here...

"The bird shall dance for the Queen. The Trees will bow to her and the Magician will pay for burning the Huntress."

She snarled and picked up the sword again. "NEVER!"
And brought the blade down hard on the shackle of ice looping her wrist.

"They're coming, they search you out."

She hunted around for the hidden.
"Where are they?"

Then the voice is gone.

...Love?
Never mind that for now, just leave and hide.
"Thank you." She then tried to let go of the basket, and just wield the sword. Pleased to find she could do so now. Now, to get out of here, her eidetic memory remembering how she got in.
So she starting heading down the corridors and stairs, seeking a door to slip through and outward.

She briefly stopped at that, and felt like scooping up three of the red and gold leaves. Unsure why, or why she felt a little better after doing so as she hurried down the road. Trying to find something remote and abandoned.

"Runaway, runaway, come back to the Queen, for she will keep you safe. The Greenwood is not safe in it darkness, he has too much pain, no happiness to give you."

Safe...she did want to feel safe again. Hadn't felt safe truly since the attack. Been too much pain in her life already.
The sword remained in her hand, but her feet were starting to turn around.

"She will feed you and dress you, lovely bird, you will be safe in ice. Branches cling to you and fire will burn you, come be safe in ice."

More shuffling steps back up.

"She is Queen over all, Trees bow and break under ice, while she rules over all."

"Go to hell, and take your witch with you." She spat out as her blue eyes glowed again, and she slashed at the voice with the sword.
