During the night, Will and Kate talk, and Sam searches for car parts and works to recover. There's a building on the waterfront in San Francisco, it used to be a fancy restaurant now its just a ruin.

At the moment, its a place to rest with smoke coming out of its chimney while inside Sam, Kate and Will take turns resting and recovering. Alcatraz is quiet across the water and Winter still lays over the city by the Bay.

(OOC: Open to any and all, who you get depends on timezone, so putting up now.)

Suddenly a bow was fired and there was an arrow heading right for Venom's shoulder.

"GET AWAY FROM THEM NOW!"

This was from an angry Kate now with her bow up and ready to fire another shot, her blue eyes glowing angrily.

There's a flicker of gold haze behind Sam as he blurs in the way of the arrow, muttering several words under his breath. Threads of golden light, twisting together into streams that twist together into hazes spread outwards to deflect the arrow away.

He then promptly doubles over with the force of an abrupt and violent coughing fit.
"Don't shoot the creepy-tongue-guy." He just about manages to get out.

Will just watches this all,

"Bloody 'ell, Kate, what are ye doin'? We dinna know 'nough 'bout 'im yet to know whether to trust 'im or na but 'e's willin' to 'elp us kill the damned Queen."

Venom growls, turning at the shout-and looking even more aggravated as he watches Sam deal with the arrow. Really, and people think he's bad with the threats of bodily harm.

"Do we know you?" he snarls, his eyepatches narrowing again as he glares at Kate.

"He's from my world! And fine, we can lock them up together."

Kate kept an arrow aimed at Venom, remembering the rogue's gallery rundown from back home.

"What's the matter, Venom? Just because Spiderman's not here, you decided you could just come after my friends?"

"It's okay, we have an understanding. We don't set fire to him so long as he doesn't eat our heads." Sam says reasonably.

Beat. "And also, as long as he doesn't do the whole melodramatic introduction thing again."

Will comes over closer to Kate and touches her shoulder,

"So 'e's a villain in yer world well 'e knows that if 'e tries anythin', we'll take 'im down. Aye, Venom?"

There's another snarl at the mention of Spider-man, but he soon quiets it as he continues. "We did not come after anyone-we dropped in only to find out why the city is as it is."

Sam is given a bit of annoyed look-he likes his introductions!-and then he glances to Will, with a slight nod. "We find helping the innocents here more important than fighting you. Besides, we weren't the ones who threatened first."

Though he privately doubts Sam and Will could take him down.

"He is a villain. Listed in the rogue's gallery, and one of the worst. Vision's got a file on them all, including him."

Kate still hasn't lowered her bow, "You? Helping innocents? What would

you

know about that?"

"You know, 'villain' is pretty subjective, really. I was considered a villain in some worlds." Chirpily. "Besides, Venom knows lots about helping innocents, I'm sure. And I'm certain he doesn't even eat their heads."

Beat.

"Do you?"

"Kate, in our own way, we're all outlaws an 'ere at the end o'the world, canna 'urt to see what 'e's willin' to do."

His hand is staying on her shoulder, with how broken she was last night, then this change, he's worrying a lot.

Venom goes back to glaring at Kate. "You underestimate us. We were guarding the innocents in our San Francisco before we arrived here. We can do more than just chase Spider-man."

He glances to Sam at the question. "We think that would be rather counterproductive."

"You're a killer, I don't believe you."

The bow started to shake a little.

"Can't be trusted. He could double cross us all to her."

"Will's a killer. So am I." Sam points out. "We have to at least give him a chance, right?"

"Aye, Kate, please just try an if 'e tries anythin' there are three o'us an one o''im. Also 'fore ye woke up found ye some clothes at a store nearby."

There's a bag from a random store near where she woke up. He wanted to make it something nice for her but now it feels like just an add on and rubs her shoulder again.

"Our only interest in this Queen is eating her brains, not double-crossing anyone." His eyepatches narrow again. "And we would appreciate it if everyone would stop planning ways to attack us. We haven't done anything."

He's just your friendly neighborhood human-symbiote combo, trying to help! Really!

Kate finally lowered the bow.

"Thank you," she quietly said to Will.

She then added to Venom bluntly, "Fine. Bon appetit. Hope you don't choke on them."

She then went to get the clothes, since she hadn't noticed in the rush, but added to Will, "Pass it on to Sam, he tries anything? Leave him with her. They deserve each other." And then headed off to get change, and likely to burn the fairy dress she was wearing under the jacket.

"See? She likes you! She doesn't want you to choke!" Sam grins at Venom.

Will's grin is a little strained but there,

"Aye, so what are we goin' to do then?"

Venom snorts-if was capable of rolling his eyepatches, he'd do it. "We appreciate the sentiment, but we doubt it will be a problem."

He shrugs a bit as he looks at Will. "It seems the two of you have a better idea of the situation then we do."

"We're a bit confused in general, really." Sam shrugs.

"Still need to fix up the car an e'en if we did wish to attack the Queen 'ave na way to get 'cross the water."

"No boats around the bay? Or perhaps there's some way to lure her out..."

"The bay may be frozen again, by now." Sam shrugs. "But that'd mean that she's probably coming for us."

Will's hand rests on his sword and he looks to where Kate went to change,

"Be good to see 'er dead but dinna think we're ready to fight just yet."
