During the night, Will and Kate talk, and Sam searches for car parts and works to recover. There's a building on the waterfront in San Francisco, it used to be a fancy restaurant now its just a ruin.

At the moment, its a place to rest with smoke coming out of its chimney while inside Sam, Kate and Will take turns resting and recovering. Alcatraz is quiet across the water and Winter still lays over the city by the Bay.

(OOC: Open to any and all, who you get depends on timezone, so putting up now.)

"Aye."

Will's got his sword in one hand the tire iron in the other and will stab and swing as they get closer.

"We'll try." Depending on the number of fairies, protecting Sam might be easier said than done.

"They'd have to get close enough, and that's not happening, Sam."

"Good." Sam frowns down at the car.

Out of the ice, horsemen start to appear, Kate's arrows take down a few of them but not all.

Will swings forward with the tire iron to try and take down the first mounted knight.

He screams and falls while his sword leaves a long cut on Will's side. Five knights are bearing down on them, arrows already studding them.

Venom, meanwhile, focuses on attempting to trip up the horsemen. With a thwip webbing flies out of the patches on the backs of his hands, aimed at catching the legs of two of the knight's mounts. If he's lucky, the horses will be tripped up and throw their riders.

If he's really lucky, none of them will land on him.

Ok, basic arrows aren't enough, time for extra firepower. She still had the lighter from when she burned the dress, and had found some rags. She hurriedly wound some around a few arrows and lit them up to fire on some of the fairies further back from the main fray.

There were some shrieks as a few struck, and the flames caught them.

But then some flying ones started converging on her position.

They're not going to have a chance at Kate if he can help it.

The webbing has taken down the two main horses causing Will to run out of the way and strike one with the tire iron as he starts trying to knock down the flying ones.

Venom's attention remains on the last few knights-knocking them off their horses is easy enough, but it's taking care of them when they've gotten back up and have their swords out that's harder.

But he does take a moment in the middle of trying to chew a knight's leg off to glance over at Sam-no fairy-related manglings over there yet, right?

Kate was now focusing on stopping the flying targets closing in on her with some more arrows. No fire on these in case they crashed. One got close enough to slice into her leg with his sword.

Only for another to yell, "No, the Queen wants this one alive. Kill the rest."

"I'm not going anywhere," And the one who struck her took an arrow shot through his hand.

"The first part's in!" Sam is, so far, unmangled, yes. "Second one shouldn't take long."

Will just makes an assenting sound as he takes down one of the knights who's fighting with Venom with the tire iron and slashes one of the ones attacking Kate,

"Ye're na takin' 'er 'gain!"

"We hope so," Venom calls to Sam. He makes his way towards Will and Kate-the flying fairies seem to be the biggest threat right now. He joins in at slashing at the attackers, swatting and biting.

Another arrow reduced the numbers of flying ones, there were only a handful left. But now there were a few on foot stalking their way to the group as well.

One tried to grab her but Kate ducked, and kicked the fairie in the gut and groin causing him to double over. Then a punch and another kick to his head as he fell to the ground.

Will rushes into the ones on foot since he's a bit closer to them alternating with the tire iron and sword and they start to fall back cursing and yelling at them,

"Our Queen will make you pay!!"

The ones in the sky are harder to deal with but Kate and Venom are effectively taking them out.

"And we will make your Queen pay!" Venom calls back, sounding entirely too cheerful as he continues to maul the fairy he's caught. He tosses his current target aside after a few moments, attempting use his webbing to snag and drag another closer. Jumping and clawing can only do so much when you're trying to hit a flying target.

Kate tried not see what Venom was doing since some of it turned her stomach a little. She whirled around only for one of the winged ones to briefly grab her, and start to lift her in the air.

"You're hers, and you will dance for her." He hissed in her ear, and she quickly flicked the lighter flame into his face sending him away screaming.

"Tell her to get used to disappointments."

A flying fairy comes at Sam at an angle away from the rest of the group, just as he finishes putting the second part in.

Sam rarely uses his lightsaber, but he makes an exception this time, severing a leg and a wing before returning it to his belt.

"Second part in."

The lightsaber makes Will blink for a moment as one of the flying faeries dives down and deals him a powerful blow to the back.

He doesn't scream but there's a hiss of pain as he takes down the Fae, not having the breath to respond as he tries to not cry out in pain.

"What's left?" Venom called back to Will, freeing his claws from his latest victim and diving towards another. After a few brief moments of snarling and struggling, he looks up, trying to see how many of the fairies are stupid or foolhardy enough to keep fighting.

Not many it seemed, and some were retreating. Only a few left now.

Kate gave a yell when one attacked Will, and fired several arrows at that flying one. Another hit on her on the head, enough for her to see stars briefly.

She took out the sword, and there was a cut to that faerie's limb, and a kick to its side as she staggered a little with wooziness.

As another three fairies swoop down on Sam, he frowns, an outburst of golden threads (into streams, into a haze) coming out from him, sending them flying. He mutters a few words, forming the haze into a wolf.

The three fairies are promptly mauled in mid air, and Sam goes back to repairs, doubling over and coughing heavily.

Another fairy comes around, taking advantage of this to make a long cut along his back. Sam hisses with pain, another flash of light sending the fairy hurtling away until it manages to slow itself to a stop with its several frantic flutters of its wings.

It hurts a lot, but Will makes his way over to protect Sam, striking at the Fae around them,

"Na too many left now."

Sam is being helped by Will-and so Venom sticks near Kate, continuing to happily maul whatever got to close. The various injuries he's collected are ignored for the moment-they'll heal up soon enough, and right now he's too caught up in the joy of being able to shred things again to really care.

Kate was starting to back up, to check on Will and Sam. Blinking a little against the wooziness and pain in her bleeding leg, and briefly caught herself from falling.

There was one remaining flying fairy, though its wings looked ragged now, that grabbed her from behind. It started to drag her away, even as she tried to punch, but her blows weren't as effective now.
