Steph is helping Hana walk!

There are big grins on both faces. Hana because LOOK LOOK SHE'S A BIG GIRL LOOK EEEE FOOTS ON GROUND! - and Steph because eeeeeee babies, she's missed them.

Up and down the corridor, up and down. Probably in everyone's way, but look at how cute the little Fire baby is! How could you mind?

"C'mere, baby, don't do that," Steph suggests, eyeing the hint of fresh blood on Will's shoulder. Hana giggles and thumps for his chest, squealing with delight.

"...sorry," Steph says, once she's restrained the squirmy wiggly toddler -- who promptly tries to climb up Steph's back by pulling her hair. "Are you okay? You're going funny colours."

"Tis fine, just some injuries from 'ome that the fight opened up. Lass surprised me was all."

He grins at the thump on his chest which doesn't hurt and shakes his red hair for her,

"Just things are still new with Kate is all, makes me all nervous."

Hana squeals again gleefully, lunging free of Steph's arms to grab at the red hair with both hands. It's pretty!

Steph laughs. "Yeah? Cool. Tell me about her, go on." He obviously seems to want to.

Another laugh from Will,

"Glad ye like my 'air, lass, gotten me in 'nough trouble in Nottingham. She's lovely, dark 'air, eyes that seem to 'old truth an she just 'as the bravest, kindest 'eart o'any woman I know other than Marian o'course."

Steph grins. Someone sounds like a total sap. She's glad she's not like that over anyone.

... not that she would be.

Further thoughts on this matter are brought to a crashing halt when Hana sneezes again, complete with sparks and heat ... right into Will's hair.

...he doesn't mind having, literally, flaming hair, does he?

Will is a total sap but its much better than angsting. Though he's currently trying to put his hair out and cursing,

"Bloody 'ell, that's powerful magic for a wee lass!"

Steph is flailing about for a fire extuingisher, or anything; after a moment she runs into the kitchen and returns with a glass of water in each hand.

"I'm so sorry! Hold still!"

Hana, it might be noted, thinks this is hilarious. She's giggling and squealing and kicking her legs with joy. OH THE STORIES SHE'LL HAVE TO TELL HER SISTER!

Holding still is easy enough to do though he braces a bit more than needed for water but he'll manage, fire needs to be out.

SPLASH.

Hana stops laughing abruptly and wails in protest. "Baaaaaaa, S'ephie! Faaaaa!"

But at least the fire's out? Even if Will's a little bit damp?

"Hana-boo," Steph says sternly, scooping up the adorable little Firebender, "no. Gotta have control, right? Like Mommy says!"

Will wincing again at the water, perhaps a little more than expected but that's alright and shakes his head to try and get some of the water off,

"Ne'er seen a child 'ave such magic 'fore."

"It's not magic," Steph says, with a faint smile for how many times she's been told this, "it's Bending. It's just something they do. I'm so sorry, I should have been watching her. Are you okay?"

"Oh aye, I'm fine, 'ad worse in Sherwood. Bendin', like that lass Toph was doin' when she made the 'ouse?

"Yes!" Steph beams, looking up. "Toph's here? I met her in Eden!"

"Na sure where Eden is, but aye, blind lass with an almighty temper?"

"I didn't know her all that well." Steph grins, bouncing Hana in her arms and laughing when the little girl tries to eat Steph's blonde plait. "It'll be great to see her anyway. It's so weird, hopping worlds and getting to meet people you knew before."

"Oh aye? Ne'er done such a thing 'fore I fell 'ere. Where'd ye start out from then?"

"Gotham," Steph says, grinning, and is echoed by Hana, who's lunging at Will's hair again.

"Gofa!"

Apparently, Will's hair is a big attraction. It was so pretty when it was on fire!

"I landed in this bizarre other world, Eden, where I met Sokka and Mel and these guys -- Hana and her twin sister, they're Mel's kids."

"Met man 'ere from Gotham, Gordon think 'is name is. 'ome for me is Nottingham in the reign o'Richard the Lion'earted."

He just laughs, swinging his hair again, Hana's a good distraction from missing home.

Hana seems to think so. She leans forward with a determined expression on her chubby little lips and tries very hard to cough at it again.

"No!" yelps Steph, steering her away just in time to rescue Will's now-soggy hair from any further combustion. "No, Hana-boo! Control!"

Hana pouts, until Steph bumps her up and down and makes her giggle again.

"Really?" she asks Will, Firebaby under control. "Cool. Yeah, Gordon came here with us -- we found him in this world's Gotham." She looks glum at that, but only briefly. "It's not in good shape, Gotham."

"Gofa!" Hana agrees again, happily.

"Oh aye, few places in this world seem well, makes me 'fraid to see what's left o'Sherwood though know she'd change a lot after all these worlds. Isna e'en my world but miss Sherwood."

He reaches a hand forward to touch Hana's face,

"Wee lass, ye're goin' to do a power o'good just by bein'."

Steph nods, fondly, and laughs when Hana giggles and tries to bite Will's hand.

"Yeah," Steph agrees, with a grimace. "But it's better than the other world I was in, I guess."

"What was that one like, this one seems 'ard 'nough."

He just barely moves his hand out of the way, finally took the bandages off so no cloth for her to grab at.

"Ah, that one was no fun." Steph restrains Hana, laughing at the tiny girl's pout. "This one's heaps better. What happened to your hands?"

He pulls his shirt sleeve down a bit,

"Just got 'urt in Nottingham, 'ave 'ealed up a good bit."

She nods, wrinkling her nose. "Good. I'm pretty good at first aid, if you need anything."
