Sam's probably not looking his best. He's sort of bruised and battered with a lot of bandages and a lot of tears in his coat.

Nonetheless, he doesn't seem to mind too much - Right now he's more concerned with cooking. He can't read the recipe book, so this involves a lot of guesswork. So far, he's mixed together flour, eggs, milk and sugar, but has yet to manage to get it to a doughy consistency.

Botherable.

Will has been trying to rest which is not fun or easy so is glad to be distracted by Sam,

"What are ye doin'?"

Sam's rather grateful he has his back currently turned to Will. It means that although he might be able to see the coat-tears, he probably can't see the bandages or the bruises.

"Making cookies. I think."

The bowl is peered at,

"Oh aye, did a baker teach ye?"

Since honestly Will has no more idea of how to cook than Sam probably, just how to convince the ladies in the bakery to give him bread.

"No, I've never really cooked before." He just steals, usually. "And I can't read the recipe."

"Aye, canna really read it either. Kate's taught me a wee bit but na that much."

Now Will notices the bruises as he looks at the recipe,

"What 'appened to ye?"

"Oh, I sparred with Venom and accidentally lost all my powers about half way through and didn't stop when he offered because I'd hope they'd come back." Sam says nonchalantly. "No biggy. Rematch once I've healed."

Will thwaps Sam on the back of the head,

"That was stupid, Sam. I'd 'it ye 'arder but I'm supposed to be restin'."

"It wasn't stupid. I could've still won!" Sam protests. "Besides, I'll have healed before long."

Will just sighs,

"Aye, fine, won't tell Kate, will just make 'er worry. More milk might 'elp with the cookies."

Sam considers this.
"Yeah, you're probably right." He pours more milk in. "Won't that make it all runny, though?"

"Dinna think so. Should be 'nough, right let's stir it 'gain."

Will takes up the spoon and gives a few stirs, it looks slightly more doughy,

"'ow many eggs did ye put in?"

"Three?" Sam says. "Maybe it needs more sugar."

"'rhaps more flour 'stead."

"Can't hurt to put both in." Sam says, adding more sugar, then more flower.

The consistency is changing though Will has to beat out a few lumps,

"Should add somethin' to it to make it taste o'somethin'."

Also hide problems if it looks too weird.

"See any chocolate around here?"

"I'm na sure, what's chocolate?"

Sadly no one has introduced Will to chocolate yet.

"Brown stuff. Very sweet."

"Oh aye, what sort o'shape would it be in then?"

There's a lot of stuff in the cupboards, there must be some chocolate chips in there somewhere.

"Could be any shape."

He finds a bag that looks right full of chocolate chips, "'rhaps these?"

Sam peers inside.
"Yeah. Throw them in."

About half the bag well more like three quarters of the bag is added, its looking a bit more cookieish now.

"That doesn't look too bad." Sam says, eyeing it.

"Aye, think this might work."

Will grabs some chocolate chips and hands the bag over to Sam then the look on his face at the chocolate is of pure glee.
