Remember Lucy?

This is, actually, her house.

And she's perched comfortably on the kitchen counter, left arm wrapped around her knees, right hand holding a peach, from which she takes an occasional bite.

(The bowl from which the peach originated is beside her. She's accustomed by now to having food with her at all times, in case someone edible happens to show up.)

Come say hi! She'll probably say hi back. Or just stare at you creepily. Either way.

Oliver is of the opinion that lies can be quite polite.

He also does not much like people who can discern truth from lies.

There's a look of surprise from him, but no real words forthcoming.

"Well?"

Say it again, with the truth this time.

"My land is filled with demons with mutable forms," Oliver replies eventually, his voice stiff. "For a moment, yes, I feared you. But I see you are a rational being with the kindness to open up your home to travelers. I believe you no creature of evil."

The last part would've been better if he'd said, 'I certainly hope you're no creature of evil. I'm not a hundred percent, and it really bothers me.'

"Okay."

Oliver was coming in to get some food. He'd forgotten until now.

He finds he's not really hungry.

"I thought to ask you if I might set up some Wards around your house," he says after a moment.

"Wards?"

It'd certainly go along way to establish Lucy's non-demonness.

Oliver is pleased, but he's not exactly in the mood for looking happy. So, relatively-neutral face! "Excellent."

"Thank you." There's a faint bow - his ribs still hurt too much to do a full one.
