Will's been thinking about Garo's problem, he's not sure of the absolute best way to help so he's going through his sword forms in the Great Hall as he thinks.

It's probably a good indicator of Garo's mood that the simulated-daylight in the ceiling flickers to night-with-a-full-moon for a split second as he enters. It's probably an even better indicator of his mood that he doesn't even notice.

It takes him a while to notice Will, too, but when he does, he hops up to crouch on one of the tables and watch him.
"Hey."

Will turns and nods as he moves his blade to the side,

"'ow are ye doin'?"

"I'm alright." It's not a lie. He's distracted, and worried, and a little miserable, but he's been worse. "How're you?"

"Been thinkin' 'bout what's been 'appenin' to ye an na sure if I've any good ideas but got some at least."

"I haven't any ideas, so go on."

"Guess best to start with seein' what ye can do an just keep pushin' so ye can control it. 'ow do ye practice for fightin'?"

"Punching bags, shadowboxing, shooting stuff as target practice, running through sword forms." Shrug.

"Which do ye feel most comfortable with?"

"Huh? 'M comfortable with all of them. Oh, and sparring counts as practice, too, I suppose." Handwave. "But s'not any one I'm most comfortable with."

"Then guess should start with one o''em an ye just keep pushin' yerself as far as ye can go."

"... I have doubts about whether this'll actually work." Garo admits. "Still. What d'you want me t'start with?"

"I dinna know either but canna 'urt. Na sure, ye pick one."

"Be easiest t'push me t'my limit with sparring. Provided that, y'know. You actually win. Not sure how good an idea that actually is, though, since doesn't this basically amount to deliberately inducing the crazy-berserker-superpowers?"

OK, it probably can't hurt to at least check out the weird castle that's been dropped on New York. Especially since she's pretty much covered all the current subway system.

Think of it like a supply run. Only, no supplies. Maybe.

Jessica is naturally very quiet, and is sneaking more than usual, so she may have been at the doorway for a while watching Will do his thing. Despite the appearance, it's actually fairly easy to overlook her.

Will's focused on the motions and thinking about the best way to help his friend so he's only aware that there's someone in the shadows.

For a moment he turns towards the sound before lowering his blade,

"Good day, I willna 'urt ye, just practicin'."

"Wow, that's... where're you from?" That is definitely not an American accent.

He sheathes his sword and gives a smile,

"Nottingham, England, durin' the reign o'King Richard the Lion'eart."

She did not really pay that much attention to history, so the best that gives her is "England back when women wore those pointy hats."

"Did you come along with the place?" Though this is a lot fancier than she'd expect. She is pretty sure that the crazy ceiling is kind of an anachronism or something.

"Oh nay, dropped out o'the sky in the midst o'a field round 'bout the center o'the country. Ended up 'ere cause me Kate is from a New York in 'er world an this is the safest place in the city."

"Oh, you're with Kate. Good." There's a slight sense of relaxation there. "So, this place hasn't killed anyone yet?"

"Nay, it 'asna. Aye, I am, feel lucky to 'ave 'er in me life."

It takes a moment for her to convert that into Suburban American English.

"You guys been working on the plant things?" She assumes the sword is not just because he is a young man who likes shiny things. "Seems easier to run around the city lately."
