Two-Parter Post!

EITHER

Inty is in her and Gabriel's bedroom, brushing her hair (it's a novelty! It used to brush itself!). If you're doing something interesting somewhere in the rest of the Cooper house, she might just swing by and poke her nose in. She does that.

OR

Dream post, take three! Come here for dream sequence threads!

People have to be corporeal in this dream. It's very important.

Which becomes clearer when the girl turns around in reaction to absolutely no sound at all, catches sight of Inty and beams so brightly, there's more light coming off of her than the sun.

The goat is immediately released and runs bleating back to its family. Because the girl is jumping to her feet and running over, holding her arms out wide.

Hug, please! She loves hugs!

She is. And she's getting clung to very tightly.

It may become clear to Inty eventually that she can't hear anything. No wind, no birds, the goats are perfectly silent. And it's nothing to do with her hearing - this place is simply void of sound, filled with life.

And the girl she's hugging seems to love it.

Hugs are wonderful, whether needed or wanted. The younger girl gives Inty an extra-tight squeeze before leaning back, but it's just to take the rainbow girl's hands in hers and grin. There's no sound in this place and neither is there the ability to speak. But that doesn't mean there's no communication.

It's impossible to explain, not a sound, not a thought, not an image or a word, but it's there all the same.

Yvette.

They do. Just like soundless giggles and Yvette's answering nod.

How did Inty get here, though? Does she live nearby?

Neat!

Yvette takes hold of Inty's hand again and gives a little tug. Come on, come with her! Come see the baby goats!

Baby goats! They're soft and adorable and strangely cuddly! On jumps up into Yvette's arms and another into Inty's.

MOAR HUGZ!

Yvette is grinning brightly, pressing her cheek against soft wool. She isn't looking but neither is she oblivious to the dark shadows within the trees.

IT'S TOTALLY AWESOME, RITE? Yvette grins back.

In the shadows of the trees, there are glowing eyes and what looks like a respirator tube. There's no sound but the tiny tremble beneath their feet, they both know, is heavy labored breathing.

Yvette glances back at the trees with her goat cuddling in her arms just in time to see all the trees fall over with a solid shake of the earth.

And then there's no more trembling.

TOTALLY BEST, INTY, YVETTE AGREES WITH GRINS x A BILLION!

Yvette will spare an arm for hugging, too, grinning and giggling. Goat in one hand and friend in the other!

Yvette loves dreaming.

[identity profile] verb-not-noun.livejournal.com 2007-11-25 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Cuddly!

Yvette blinks to see it but is back to grinning in no time, letting the goat down gently onto the ground so she can take the pillow. It's small but soft! She can hold it tight against her chest and grin.

Inty is a friend. And not just like at school - Inty understands and gives her presents and hugs and...

Friend.

Thank you.

That's great! Really!

She doesn't have to wake up any time soon, does she?
