Penance's new yellow friend had given her an idea. She's not sure if she's allowed to implement said idea, as the farm seems to belong to Lucy and she's not sure how to ask either. But if she isn't allowed, she trusts someone to come by and let her know. And she will obey, if a little sadly.

But, until then, the idea is implemented.

There's a tree not too far from the Cooper farmhouse that, for some reason in the warming spring weather, is covered in snowflakes.

Paper snowflakes.

It's possible that there's a very happy red girl sitting in the branches, beaming at her surroundings.

The yellow thing has been hard at work. It has a small wooden house set up outside the bunker, with a sunflower to the side. It has also hoarded a small cache of scrap paper and old crayons.

At the moment, it is outside its house with said paper and crayons, peering seriously at the walls and occasionally making a few marks on the paper.

Though it is very distractible, if anyone feels like trying to get the attention of a small yellow thing.

Flash bang flash

Flash.

The second flash there had meant to hit Bi-Face, except apparently the universe had different ideas. The third  flash was an automatic reaction to suddenly being jerked out of Gotham and into some strange place that's other, and Sparrow doesn't really appreciate that.

"What the heck?"

 - see?

There is a red girl in black leather crouching beside the pond/lake at the back of the farmhouse. She trails a single finger through the water, but is always quick to pull back when a tiny, baby tentacle looks like it's about to reach for her. But she seems to be enjoying herself and that may even be a slight smile curling her lips.

So. Red girl, poking water.

Come poke back?

The car that pulls into the front yard of the farm looks more or less exactly the way it did before, if a little muddier. The boy who gets out from behind the wheel, though, looks -- well, like crap.

He kisses Claire, gives the others an awkward and very false smile, and then squares his shoulders and heads for the farmhouse.

Team "Get-Away-From-Sylar-No-Really-This-Time" has made good progress, but even they need to sleep occasionally. Toph makes rock tents for all of them, because it's easier than looting, and even though she makes four, she knows perfectly well that right now, only two are being slept in.

It must be awfully stuffy in that one, but at least they're not doing anything other than sleeping with their hands together.

Toph - doesn't have any one to hold her hand. Not, she'll tell anyone who bothers to ask, that she needs to, it's just...

...just that she has to be there for Sokka, who's just buried his sister, and for Claire, who's terrified of this murderer, and - no one's really there for her, the little girl who just buried the closest thng she had to a sister, who had begun to take the place of a mother.

So as the others sleep, she creeps out and crouches a way away from the tents, feeling the movements of the forest around her, and silently crying. So she can be strong in the morning.

Sokka doesn't know it, but they're at the Chicago end of Lake Michigan. They've steered clear of people and cities, made their way through the countryside, found a quiet field sloping down to the edge of the water. On the way they stopped to pick up what they needed.

There's even a boat. Just a rowboat, but it's in good shape and it's big enough for four and a weighted coffin.

Sokka is expressionless as he rows them out, watching the shore disappear behind the boat.
[identity profile] lemur-sitter.livejournal.com
Toph and Penance are back at their campsite. Sokka has to admit he isn't quite sure where this Metropolis is any more, or if they're even driving in the right direction -- but nobody really minds. There's plenty of food and water around, they've still got heaps of spare fuel, and all four teens are having the time of their lives racketing around the countryside.

Currently Claire is teaching Sokka a few more of the finer points of driving. Or at least, that's their excuse. There's a lot of laughing and the occasional squeal -- WHICH IS TOTALLY NOT FROM SOKKA, NUH UH -- as they rattle along the road and occasionally come to a screeching halt.

[Double-pup post to apologize for the mun's lameness in tagging as of late - finals are over, will totally be better now, swarez.]

Penance is hanging out outside, of course, either in her tunnel or, after peeking out and finding something interesting, possibly up in the surrounding trees of the farmhouse. Possibly spying! Possibly on you! Are you gonna stand for that?

Angelo is being incredibly busy outside, too (in another area of outside, of course > >). He's found a ball, see, and any ball can ultimately be turned into something time-consuming. It's a little too big and too bouncy for basketball, but does that stop him from trying? Heavens, no. Does it stop other people from coming over to inquire or play with?

Hopefully not because that would be a boring scene.

There's a pond! Or a little bit of sea, anyway. It's weird.

Though perhaps not as weird as the big earth bunker. Claire met the girl who made the big earth bunker. There was sarcasm, and lots of suspicious question. Claire doesn't think she's liked much in that quarter.

But now she's nowhere near the big earth bunker nor the house with Sylar-who-will-be in it, and out by the pond, sitting near the edge as she re-reads her book on Evolution.

Mr Muggles is crouching at the edge of the pond, occasionally barking at it.

One of the farm's least, er... visible residents is currently visible. Ish. Considering it's dusk, the red girl is not nearly so shiny or readily apparent as she emerges from her tunnel. But there are things to explore, to discover, and it's easier to do that when there aren't people running around at the same time.

There's a Penance out in the ruined field of the farm, picking curiously at overgrown plants and looking a little proud of herself when she's able to pick up leaves or pieces of grass.

A massive Flying Bison settles onto the lawn in front of the farmhouse and two passengers, who had no idea where they were, sat on its back still clutching its fur tightly. "Well," Iroh says jovially, "It seems we've arrived."

Jona's eyes were wide, "There's a boat. On the land. Now I know that this the fairy world."

Iroh chuckles, "It is very odd, I'll admit." He slid down the side of the Bison to land hard on the ground. "Shall we look around?"
[identity profile] lemur-sitter.livejournal.com
Sokka is Exploring. He's starting to get worried about getting home in time for the invasion, since nobody seems to have the faintest idea how they're going to do that. But ... well, nobody seems to have the faintest idea how to do that. And he's already tried ripping holes in the air like the one he walked through. It didn't work.

So he's exploring.

With a jar of Nutella.

-- look, the boy's just been introduced to chocolate. You can't expect him to go away from the delicious food, surely?

Find him anywhere.

So Lucy's been away for a few days.

She met someone, see.

And now there's a glossy-scaled dragon walking up the road to her house, which is a place she's quite happy to see again. The hunting was good on the way, at least, so she probably won't eat anyone when she gets there!

Behind her, there's a (highly adorable) red girl who probably isn't immediately visible. As Lucy has been figuring out, Penance likes to hide.
[identity profile] lytii-intuition.livejournal.com
EITHER

Inty is in her and Gabriel's bedroom, brushing her hair (it's a novelty! It used to brush itself!). If you're doing something interesting somewhere in the rest of the Cooper house, she might just swing by and poke her nose in. She does that.

OR

Dream post, take three! Come here for dream sequence threads!
[identity profile] verb-not-noun.livejournal.com
It's disorienting, to go from one's comfortable home in the forest of the Grotto with it's thick, tall trees and unending number of hiding spaces, and then suddenly be somewhere else.

Especially when somewhere else looks like this... once you replace all the buildings aside from the arch with rubble.

Despite the silence that she moves with and that her new place is completely effective in hiding every inch of her, it really won't be hard to find out where she's gone: follow the claw marks, in the ground and in the rubble.

She'll be watching.
