You hear that?

That is the noise of Jack approaching the farm, European folk metal blaring out of the speakers of the Coraline. He had considered arriving at Ruth, but then he decided to screw that idea. Jack Hollins doesn't fear anything at the farm, dammit.

So he's driving up merrily, singing along with the radio.

"I am addictive."

She says it with a smug smile, not shifting from her seat, but her eyes follow the bounce.

"You are."

She is. Jack would like to take a time out here and satiate his addiction to Jo.

Or, he'll just meet her at the swing, leaning over.

"How has your time been?"

Jo tilted her head, looking up, cheek against the chain.

"Boring." Smirk, beat. "I'm watching the grass grow while waiting for this boy to show up and find me a body so I can do my job."

"Well, he's here now."

So there. And Jack is amused by her choice of words.

"The ghost is inside?"

She is a firecracker, after all.

"I heard something about in the barn?"

Beat.

"Haven't met her yet."

"I heard the kitchen?"

They can have fun together finding out.

"Would you like to meet a living ghost?"

Jo shrugs, and pushes off the swing seat.

"Okay."

Jack doesn't move away straight away, so that when Jo stands she's so close he can get just a hint of her smell.

Then he grins and leads the way into the kitchen.

The kitchen is empty.

Jubilation is sitting on the counter top, bored because Katara's gone but not bored enough to go and bother Dick yet.

She stares at the newcomers over her fingers, hands propping head with elbows wedged in her knees.

"Whooo wooo," she says sarcastically.

Jo's skin feels clammy. Irritating but not warning.

She looked at the place the voice came from sharply.

Jack bows in the direction of the ghost.

"And this is herself, I suppose."

"You guys were looking for me?"

The air is damp enough to be clammy, cold enough to be thusly irritating.

"Whatever it was, I didn't do it."

Jo wrinkled her nose, talking to Jack specifically.

"Younger than I thought."

"Just because I'm a ghost doesn't mean I can't hear you."

Sparrow objects to people not talking to her directly.

"And I can still kick your ass. If I had feet."

Jack grins. He likes Sparrow already.

"Than I thought as well," he says to Jo, turning his attention right back to Sparrow.

"You're Sparrow? Dick's little sister?"

Jo snorted at the last few words the girl has said.

She was spunky, at least. There were many worse starts.

She's not just spunky, she really thinks she could.

"That's me. You know him?"

HE CALLED HER HIS SISTER ♥

Jack's sure she could, sure.

He sits down, grinning at her.

"I met him, aye. Said a man stole your body? I may be able to track it down."

Jo's not against letting her try. That would be, err, if she knew.

Instead, she's going to lean on a counter, half slouching, absently thinking the kitchen was better when it smelled of cookies and smirk with a, "Hey," before watching Jack get down to business.

Unfortunately the cookie smell left with Steph. Claire has taken her cookie-skills somewhere else.

"Yeah, a stupid dead guy with ridiculous eyebrows," Sparrow complains.

"How are you going to get it back?"

"I'm a Reader."

Jack has a distant expression on his face, observing the little girl closely.

"Jack Hollins is me. I find things."

"Then we'll go about trying to reverse the process."

Not unlike pulling spirits out, just completely different.

Dean and his sibling issues.

"Like a metamutant? You're psychic?"

Sparrow can deal with that.

"What do you need?"

Sibling issues, huh? At least there's a Sam now.

"Like that," he confirms. "You want to tell me what happened?"

Jo's gonna prop herself up to sit on the counter for story time.

Whut? She pretty much disregards everyone's space with the same nonchalance.
