Sokka is Fixing The Kitchen Tap.
(It wasn't broken.)
This means that right now, there's a slowly-flowing stream of water out the kitchen door, but he's managed to actually seal the pipe. And in another half hour or so, the tap will be flowing better than before, heat up faster, and turn off easier.
It's just that right now it looks like chaos.
He may or may not be distracting himself from Other Things by lying on his stomach in an impromptu creek on the linoleum, but you'd never guess.

And now she's heading towards the kitchen with dirty diapers, bottles that need washing, and all sorts of things to do that make her feel more useful than she's felt in a long time.
She steps over her boyfriend on the way to the laundry hamper, steps over hism again to get to the sink, then finds out that there's no running water available.
"...what have you done to the faucet?"

Of course, this means now he is wet on his back as well as his fornt.
"I'll fix it in a second. I am fixing it. Promise!"
no subject
It's terrible, really. Which is why she just dumps the stuff on the sideboard and sits on Sokka's chest.
EW HE'S WET.
no subject
Sokka is Very Sad to have a Claire on his lap, no, really, and is grinning up at her.
She makes him happy.
"I'll help you. When I've fixed the tap." Wet hands, one still holding a screwdriver, slip around her waist.
no subject
Really, Sokka, really?
"Including the poopy diapers?"
no subject
"From a distance."
no subject
"Flooding the kitchen, wet to the skin, and already taking on new projects."

Then he slides his hands up to her shoulders so that he can pull her down to kiss her.
Quite a lot, actually.
no subject
OK, she can pull away from heart melting kisses just enough to look him in the eye, right?
"What?"
no subject
Sokka beams at her.
"You're all wet."
no subject
"That's because you flooded the kitchen."
no subject
Then he remembers it's bad. "Yes, but I'm making it better," he promises earnestly, and kisses her nose. "...just for you."
no subject
"And for the rest of the farm."

OR MAYBE YOU BROKE IT?

95 is suspicious of both your claim and your credentials.
"I am not sure the water should be outside of the plumbing in this manner," she comments, lifting her kimono to step over it. "The floor will get moldy."
no subject
Sokka has Learnings, just not about mold. Things don't get moldy at home! They get fruz!
no subject
"Ano..." How do you NOT know mold? Sigh, humans and their being irresponsible.
"It's a fungus that grows and makes things unsanitary."
no subject
Sokka knows fungus!
"Like you get when your snowboots get all sweaty but you don't take them off for days and you get fuzz between your toes?"
NOT THAT HE'S EVER DONE THAT.
no subject
95 is now observing a rule of "do not get within two yards of Sokka's feet.
Sokka has fungus-cooties!
no subject
"I don't have it NOW," he protests. "I just used to get it a lot!"
no subject
He is starting to remind her of her user back home.
no subject
So he does. But it's weird, to a tribal boy from the South Pole.
