During the night, Will and Kate talk, and Sam searches for car parts and works to recover. There's a building on the waterfront in San Francisco, it used to be a fancy restaurant now its just a ruin.

At the moment, its a place to rest with smoke coming out of its chimney while inside Sam, Kate and Will take turns resting and recovering. Alcatraz is quiet across the water and Winter still lays over the city by the Bay.

(OOC: Open to any and all, who you get depends on timezone, so putting up now.)

Venom gives Will the best annoyed look he can give, considering his rather limited facial features. "We'll be quite happy to eat yours if you try it. As for what we want-we want information. We haven't seen any people ever since we appeared in this wretched place, and we want to know why-and why we were brought here!"

"Try to eat anybody's head and I'll set you on fire." Sam snaps. "Arms, we can talk."

Beat.

"We don't know much either. About why we were brought here, at least - But there aren't any people because the fairies took them all."

"Aye, an made it Winter 'ere. Tis safer in Kansas, was an Apocalypse. An if ye're like us, tis na reason ye were brought 'ere just fate's bloody sense o''umor."

Venom growls at Sam's first comment, but is quickly distracted by the rest of what's said. "Fairies," he repeats, sounding disgruntled. More strangeness. No rest for the wicked, it seems like.

"What can we do about it, then? We won't stand for innocents being harmed-by fairies or anything else. ...though we would like to know what you mean by apocalypse."

"End of the world. Lots of wrecked places. Monsters."

"Aye, tis few places o'safety an na sure 'ow to kill the Queen, she's already done a good bit o''arm."

Will knows right where Kate is sleeping but he's not alerting this Venom to her and their problems, he's just not very trusting at the moment.

"In our experience, eating heads usually does work," Venom offers, looking as thoughtful as he can. "We could try that. We've been lacking in entertainment. Did she cause the apocalypse?"

"Eating her head does sound like a good idea." Thoughtfully. "And I don't think so, no."

"Nay, think that 'appened 'fore an started pullin' folks in, dinna understand it. Could always try it, we trapped 'er on that island out there for now."

Well, not knowing who caused the apocalypse is aggravating to say the least, but the other topic at hand cheers Venom up a bit. Finally, people who aren't freaked out at the idea!

"It's been awhile since we last ate...and we are always eager for a challenge. Fairies are new to us, but if we can both help the innocents here and earn a meal..." His tongue lolls out as he grins.

"... Well, that's nice."

"Aye, she's a dangerous bein'."

Venom looks thoughtful again for a moment. "So where is this Queen? We haven't seen any fairies at all-this part of the city seems to be abandoned by everyone....except you."

His head tilts as he peers at them. "Who are you?"

"I'm Sam." Sam says. "This is Will. He's a dork."

"Aye, an an outlaw. Tis an island cross the Bay an that's where she is."

"An outlaw? What sort of outlaw?" He eyeballs Will, sizing him up.

(Will already threatened him with beheading. It's perfectly reasonable to be more suspicious of him than Sam, he thinks.)

But the comment about the bay gets him thinking. "Then we have a walk ahead of us."

Suddenly a bow was fired and there was an arrow heading right for Venom's shoulder.

"GET AWAY FROM THEM NOW!"

This was from an angry Kate now with her bow up and ready to fire another shot, her blue eyes glowing angrily.

There's a flicker of gold haze behind Sam as he blurs in the way of the arrow, muttering several words under his breath. Threads of golden light, twisting together into streams that twist together into hazes spread outwards to deflect the arrow away.

He then promptly doubles over with the force of an abrupt and violent coughing fit.
"Don't shoot the creepy-tongue-guy." He just about manages to get out.

Will just watches this all,

"Bloody 'ell, Kate, what are ye doin'? We dinna know 'nough 'bout 'im yet to know whether to trust 'im or na but 'e's willin' to 'elp us kill the damned Queen."

Venom growls, turning at the shout-and looking even more aggravated as he watches Sam deal with the arrow. Really, and people think he's bad with the threats of bodily harm.

"Do we know you?" he snarls, his eyepatches narrowing again as he glares at Kate.

"He's from my world! And fine, we can lock them up together."

Kate kept an arrow aimed at Venom, remembering the rogue's gallery rundown from back home.

"What's the matter, Venom? Just because Spiderman's not here, you decided you could just come after my friends?"

"It's okay, we have an understanding. We don't set fire to him so long as he doesn't eat our heads." Sam says reasonably.

Beat. "And also, as long as he doesn't do the whole melodramatic introduction thing again."

Will comes over closer to Kate and touches her shoulder,

"So 'e's a villain in yer world well 'e knows that if 'e tries anythin', we'll take 'im down. Aye, Venom?"

There's another snarl at the mention of Spider-man, but he soon quiets it as he continues. "We did not come after anyone-we dropped in only to find out why the city is as it is."

Sam is given a bit of annoyed look-he likes his introductions!-and then he glances to Will, with a slight nod. "We find helping the innocents here more important than fighting you. Besides, we weren't the ones who threatened first."

Though he privately doubts Sam and Will could take him down.

"He is a villain. Listed in the rogue's gallery, and one of the worst. Vision's got a file on them all, including him."

Kate still hasn't lowered her bow, "You? Helping innocents? What would

you

know about that?"
