(no subject)

Dreamer is cleaning bloodstains out of Shay's boat fort.

It's taking a lot longer than she thought.

Certainly long enough that she forgot why she started in the first place, but hey. Not like she has anything better to do.

Slosh. Clank. Scrubscrubscrub. Slosh.

This is oddly restful.

"Sorry, I'm not the one with the magical flying powers," Eden replies with a grin.

Unlike most of the house, Eden doesn't know about the climbing crates option. Because she, unlike most of the house, isn't sleeping with Shay.

Eden takes a closer look at the crates - she saw them before, but was too distracted by OOOO, SHIP! to pet them together. Oh. That's what they're for.

She wrinkles her nose.

"I was hoping you had them and you could offer me a lift. I - swear to God - I seriously failed gym class."

"How'd you get up there?" Eden asks and she walks her way over to the crates.

Eden, it's not an escalator. You have to move and stop staring at the crates dubiously.

"Mmmyeah I might have a little difficulty with that," Eden comments. She reaches up to touch one of the crates.

Who knows how many people've had their feet on this thing? She's touching feet. And shoes. Ewwwww.

"I did mention the failing gym, right?" Eden shoots back.

But, you know, she does start climbing. Slooooowly.

Hey, her power's useful, but it won't save her if she falls to her death.

"Thanks!" Eden says, gratefully.

The first thing she does is not look out at the view. The first thing she does is inspect her dress. Maybe it got...crate-gunk on it. Crates have gunk, right? They probably do.

Eden smiles in satisfaction - and notices Dreamer noticing.

"Yeah, this is what I buy when I go into Smallville instead of food. It just fits so well - hard to do with the lack of boobage."

Eden beams and twirls, her bronze dress spinning out around her, baring her legs almost to her knees.

"You know, I swore I'd never do belts?" She gestures to the silver one at her hips. "But it's a brave new world. Figured I'd see if I can pull it off."

Eden grins.

"I do," she accepts, with a theatrical toss her hair rich brown hair - which would've worked a lot better if she had more of it.

Eden gives Anna a quick hug back.

Because she's so over mild panic at physical touching. This is just a friendly girl thing. Girls can kiss each other and lounge on each other and do all those things that deep down inside make Eden horribly uncomfortable.

Stupid to be uncomfortable, right?

[identity profile] carefulwishes.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"So," Eden says, stepping back from the NOT AT ALL uncomfortable hug, "Should I ask about the amounts of blood that used to be here but now aren't?"

[identity profile] carefulwishes.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Eden grits her teeth at the mention of sea-monsters, giving brief acknowledging grunt in lieu of more interesting conversation.

[identity profile] carefulwishes.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Eden returns the hug - which has elements of clinging to it.

"Sorry," Eden replies after a moment. "I just-- sometimes I can handle the post-apocalyptic otherworld craziness. And sometimes it feels like a toothache and a hangover having a grudge match."
