The yellow thing has been hard at work. It has a small wooden house set up outside the bunker, with a sunflower to the side. It has also hoarded a small cache of scrap paper and old crayons.
At the moment, it is outside its house with said paper and crayons, peering seriously at the walls and occasionally making a few marks on the paper.
Though it is very distractible, if anyone feels like trying to get the attention of a small yellow thing.

She likes your pictures. You can tell because she's ten feet away and trying to look at them anyway.

It freezes, staring.

She ducks down and back, further away. She didn't mean to intrude! Promise!!

Normally, larger things do not run away from small yellow things!
"Pikaaaa?" It creeps forward, sniffing the air and watching her curiously.

(Penance <3 Kraken, for instance)
Ducking down a little lower to the ground when the yellow thing starts creeping, Penance tilts her head and lifts a finger for a small wave. Hiiii.

"Pikapi? Pikachu pikapika," it says, fwipping an ear.

Headtilt. "Pikaaa?"

But if she headtilts, it'll think she's mimicking it, and then what??

Penance shies back a little and holds out a hand. To demonstrate the badness of getting too close, she places a fingertip on top of a stone between them.
crack
Now there are two stones and a Penance anxiously waiting for a reaction.

...
...
...
THAT WAS WICKED AWESOME.
It scampers forward with another rock, then puts that one in front of her, watching expectantly.
no subject
Oh wait--
...
Wait, wut?
Penance blinks a few times once another rock is placed in front of her, glancing between it and the yellow thing a few times. Did it like that? Most people are kind of adverse to her breaking things with her fingers. It's a bad thing after all, right?
...
crack
YN?

(MFY!)
"Pi pi pi, pikachu pi pikapika!" it announces, then hops back a little for polite distance.
"PIKAAA!"
What happens next is a mildly impressive lightshow.
Once that's done, it beams at her. "Pikapi?"

TOTALLY WICKED AWESOME.
Penance beams and sits up, reaching for one of the little halves of rock. This one she pokes with a toe.
crack
SEE IT'S NOT JUST FINGERS, COOL HUH?

Trans: WE ARE TOTALLY THE TWO AWESOMEST PEOPLE HERE.
Hmm... Although this breaking things is going to make stuff difficult vis a vis chewing on her, or sharing crayons. (It prefers sort of intact crayons.)
It grabs an unused sheet of paper and holds it out to her. What about this?

And then goes about cutting it up.
This is also what you do with term papers but Ms. Frost tended to disagree with her on that.

Let's see... so you... fold it... Fascinating.

Which is offered, somewhat shyly, to the little yellow thing. It's being really nice to her and has super cool powers - she wants it to like her!

OMG
OMG THAT WAS AWESOME
THAT IS ALMOST AS AWESOME AS THE HUMAN THAT CAN MAKE FOOD
It is overwhelmed with the awesome, so much so that it is doing a sort of hop-dance thing around her and going "Pikapi!"
The snowflake is immediately squirreled away into the house, where it will be given a Place of Honor on one of the walls as soon as it can figure out how to make it stick.
And more paper is brought out.
Yeah, the afternoon is pretty much booked now.
It will also be trying to make its own snowflake things, by chewing on paper.

...it's a somewhat frustrating afternoon for the both of them, but utterly awesome all the same.
