Observant people may note that Garo looks quite tired and grumpy today. However, anybody that observant would've also realised a while ago that Garo usually looks tired and grumpy, so that's okay.

Currently, he's stalking around the entrance to Hogwarts, looking exceptionally cheesed off, half-heartedly going through sword forms. Botherable.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Garo starts meandering away from the tree, stopping abruptly when he hears a noise.

From amongst the roots, and then from amongst the buildings, Creepers start to stagger out, rustling across the ground and towards them, claws out.

Will's still sneezing and feeling strange but draws his sword ready to fight the Creepers,

"Garo, run!"

Kate immediately got between them, and grabbed some arrows from her quiver. She fired several, going in rapid succession.

"Let's get out of here! I'll cover you."

"I think," quietly, as more Creepers emerge. "We may be surrounded." Drawing his gun.

"Then we'll just fight our way out is all."

Kate nodded, and glanced around, "There's a subway entrance not from here. We could lose them there." She fired some more shots to keep the Creepers back.

"Sounds like as good a plan as any."

"Aye, ye lead the way." Will keeps his sword at the ready.

"All right, this way!" She yelled and started to run, trying to fire a path through the approaching Creepers that were looking ready to attack with their claws.

Garo follows, shooting at Creepers when they get too close.

Any that get within range, Will cuts down, discovering that cutting off their heads seems to stop them as he tries to not sneeze too much.

Her arrows slow some more down, and they were almost at the subway entrance.

"Down here! C'mon!" They can cut across town to the castle again that way.

Garo slows to a stop before reaching the subway entrance. The Creepers get a very thoughtful glance, and then the subway entrance gets a slightly hesitant glance.

He seems genuinely unsure of whether to run for the subway entrance or run towards the Creepers.

Will follows her, as his body starts to react to the poison and his hand trembles, he turns to watch Garo,

"Come on, ye ass!"

She was heading down the stairs, so she couldn't really tell what was wrong with Will. Other than the sneezing.

She turned around, and yelled back, "C'mon! It's the only way out of here!"

Garo is thinking.

He could go back with them. It's probably the best option. But he could stay, let the Creepers come to him, put his life in danger, and see if that triggers his powers. First step to control, and he might even get to be hero of the hour.

(Shut up, it makes sense in his head, at least.)

It's a rather difficult decision.

He pauses, hesitant, before very reluctantly turning and running for the subway, heading down the stairs after Kate. The Creepers get a rather regretful look.

Seeing him follow makes Will relax and he leans against a wall, willing himself to feel better.

Kate hurried back to them.

"Should be only 15 blocks, we can do it."

She then approached Will, "You all right? Come on, we can check you over back at the castle." Didn't seem to be any obvious injuries.

"Y'don't look so good, man."

Garo's alternating between looking concernedly at Will and peering back at the Creepers.

He waves away their concern as he stands up to sheathe his sword, he's looking a little paler but its hard to tell in the dark of the subway tunnel,

"Will be fine, should get back an warn the others."

"If I can contact Kern, he could spread the word quickly. Hope his English is getting better."

Kate gestured to them, and took Will's hand.

"Let's go. No sunlight here works for triffids, hope these are the same way."

"I could stay behind and hold them off?"

No, that is not a hopeful tone.

(Except for the bit where it is.)

Garo gets a look from Will and a strange sort of smile,

"Long as ye promise na to die."

Kate glanced between them, "Boys? Am I the only one who thinks that a bad idea? No way, Garo, you're coming back with us. We need reinforcements."

Garo looks momentarily disappointed. Only momentarily, though, it's covered up quickly.

"Okay." Mildly. "Lead the way."
