Will's feeling rather happy as he eats his lunch in the Great Hall and just keeps randomly grinning.

Garo starts cutting himself a staff, imitating Will's movements.

Soon Will has a good staff and smiles as he twirls it before facing Garo,

"Tis quite simple an best thing 'bout a staff is ye can attack an defend at the same moment."

"Okay," Garo raises his own staff, a little, before moving forward to attack Will.

Will responds quickly and with ease, he's missed using a staff.

Garo attacks again, lower this time.

And Will's staff is there as his own moves to knock out Garo's legs.

Garo's legs are knocked from beneath him, and he hits the ground hard. It only takes him a moment to get to his feet, grinning, staff swinging about at Will's shoulders.

Will blocks the staff and starts a series of attacks at Garo's sides.

Garo blocks the attacks, just about, but it's not easy.
"Is everybody as bad as me on their first try?" As he drives his staff at Will's gut.

"Nay, ye're doin' good for yer first time."

Will's staff locks with his and he does a twist meant to send it almost out of his hands.

It doesn't leave his hands, but it does go flying out to one side, still held by him, but leaving him nonetheless open to attack.

And Will moves in to attack with a lot of speed and a grin.

Garo ends up getting rather battered, staggering back a little from the staff blows. He's still grinning, though.

Since Garo doesn't seem to be wanting things to stop, Will just keeps going.

Garo eventually blocks one of Will's blows, trying the same twisting move that Will had used to render him open.

Will grins and knows how to hold onto his staff and ends up sending a hit towards Garo's back as he twists out of the way.

Garo goes stumbling forward. With a grin, he tosses aside his staff (he can always pick it up again later, after all) and heads for Will, fists up.

Will's staff goes to the side as he comes in for a good punch at Garo's nose.

Garo blocks, throwing a knee up at Will's groin.

Which Will just dodges so the knee goes into his side instead and he grabs Garo and tries to throw him.

Garo gets thrown, rolling a little as he lands on the ground and hopping to his feet, circling Will a little.

So Will just keeps coming with more punches, he's having a lot of fun.

Garo blocks and dodges, swinging one leg around at Will's ankles.

The hit works and Will stumbles and tackles Garo.

Garo dodges to one side, one arm out to shove Will in the other direction before he can fall.
