Inty is in her and Gabriel's bedroom, brushing her hair (it's a novelty! It used to brush itself!). If you're doing something interesting somewhere in the rest of the Cooper house, she might just swing by and poke her nose in. She does that.

Fortunately, it's not as weird as the man who can turn into a rat.

Toph turns to face her, only to grin in pride, dusting her hands off with an air of completion.

"No need to thank me," she says.

"Then I won't."

But there is beaming!

"Other people might, however. It's quite the accomplishment, and will be much appreciated."

A number of people no longer have to sleep on the floor. Inty knows from experience how much of a relief that will be.

"Yeah, well."

Toph stretches her arms behind her head and brings her hands to rest on the back of her neck.

"I can handle a little bit of hero worship."

"Appropriate, for a hero," says Inty with no evidence of sarcasm.

Toph beams at her. Or in her general direction anyway.

"Who are you, anyway? Are you going to move in?"

"I'm Intuition," she says. "I live in the house. Gabriel and I seem to have found ourselves a bedroom."

...sometimes even Inty says things without realizing how they sound.

"Good for you."

Toph apparently doesn't care how it sounds or who Gabriel is.

"This is a bedroom for everyone else."

"I'm aware," she says cheerfully. Whether to the first or the second statement is up for debate. Possibly both!

Toph just shrugs.

"I'm Toph," she offers, realising she hadn't said it already.

"It's nice to meet you."

It is!

And people don't react so well to 'I know' when they tell you their names.

"Yeah, I know."

What? Toph's awesome.

"So where are you from?"

Oh, not that question.

"Intuition," she says, in the hesitant tone of voice that means and now you're going to ask what's with that name, aren't you.

"Never heard of it," Toph says.

Honestly, she doesn't have that much of an imagination.

"Does that mean you've also got funky powers that aren't as cool as bending?"

Nothing's as cool as bending.

Well, maybe firebending. That's a lousy element.

"I..."

...know stuff? No; Inty avoids that phrase instinctively.

"...do things the right way," she finishes instead. "Except when I don't."

"Yeah, I know people like that," Toph says.

It's possible Intuition has managed to equate herself with the Sugarqueen in Toph's world view.

It's possible Intuition should find a way to correct that.

"Not quite the same, I don't think," she offers.

Toph shrugs. Because once you've managed to inadvertently insult someone, it's usually Toph-like to keep it up.

"You're special, are you?"

"Unique," admits Inty carelessly. "But that's not always the same thing."

"That's what I keep telling Twinkletoes," Toph agrees. "But does he ever listen?"

"Rarely," Intuition says with a small smile.

"You know him?"

Hey, wait a minute, that funny vibration thing...

"You're not a spirit, are you?" Toph asks suspiciously.

"I know of him. As I said, I'm Intuition. Sometimes I say true things without knowing them beforehand."

Toph's suspicious curiosity becomes slight annoyance.

"One of those."

Again: "Not quite."

"Whatever, Brainiac," Toph says, handwaving expressively.

"Unless you can get me back before the invasion."
