Tobias and Rachel are using Lucy's morph again for the speed on a little trip down to Texas. Tobias is getting a feel for the dragon body. It's rather interesting, really. Power and grace and the ever-present hunger...
He and Rachel stoop simultaneously toward a deserted town. He's morphing almost as soon as he hits the ground.

The disgust on Rachel's dragon face is similar to Tobias'.
<I don't know. It's what the worm thing came out of. It's what we were attacking when the building went down. More importantly, it's the only thing that doesn't reek.>
That alone makes it kind of special.

Frowning internally (a dragon's face really isn't made for the expression), Rachel drops the bit of the 'heart' she'd been holding and sniffs at the ground again. <Did you see any other worm-things? Like what I was fighting when I came out?>

Grumpy Rachel is grumpy. Also hurling herself into the air to put distance between herself and what the dragon brain is informing her is a tasty snack.

And be grumpy that way instead.
"How should I know?" Rachel growls, once she has a mouth to growl with again. "I don't even know what we're looking for."

And then another one, larger, deflating a little under his talons. She doesn't say anything, but she can't get the thought out of her head either.
She needs Jake if she's going to be of any use to anyone.

<We'll figure something out.> Even if that something is finding someone who can make the decisions.

Another deep breath is released, sharply, and Rachel shakes her head. Even that motion is small, though, careful of Tobias' position on her shoulder.
"Let's get out of here," she mutters.

He has no idea what they're going to do either.
