Will is doing a little better. There are so many new people and things that he's found himself spending most of his time outside in his tree or with Kate.

The ache in him that's missing Sherwood and home is almost painful as he sits in his tree and watches the world below.

(OOC: I EP finally, the headvoice got shy on me. Fair warning for angst with the outlaw.)

He's quiet in the tree and emerges a bit more,

"Oh aye, milady, just like bein' up 'ere, makes me think o''ome."

Dinah smiles a little.

"Missing it more than most, are you?"

He nods and moves out the tree a bit, there's a stiffness in his movements and his green hose look odd with the modern t-shirt he's wearing,

"Oh aye, milady, na 'nough trees round 'ere."

Those green hose provoke a curious reaction in Dinah. First she smiles wistfully, then she frowns because she's not meant to be smiling, then she forces a smile again.

"So where's home for you?"

He watches her face and honestly isn't sure what look to have on his face,

"Um Nottingham, England, milady, in the reign o'King Richard."

"Richard..."

Dinah doesn't know much history, least of all English history, but she knows some.

"...the Lionheart? You wouldn't be from Sherwood, would you?"

Now he looks even younger as he blushes and runs a hand through his hair,

"Oh aye, milady. I'm Will Scarlett."

Dinah gives a genuine grin.

"I had a friend who was a massive fan of you guys. Modelled his superhero identity after a friend of yours."

Will really isn't sure how to answer that so keeps turning red and worrying at his sleeve where the scar keeps showing,

"Thank ye, milady."

"It's not that great," Dinah says. "Oliver's a jerk of the highest order. I'm Dinah, by the way."

Now Will's even more confused, but loyal,

"Robin's na a jerk, milady."

"I'm sure he isn't," Dinah says, and smiles. "I was talking about my friend. Robin's biggest fan."

"Aye, knew that, milady, forgive me. What does 'e call 'imself then?"

Since Will knows very little about superhero names.

"Green Arrow," Dinah says, then has the decency to look shifty.

"I mean, that's a secret, OK? I just don't think it matters around here."

Also, she doesn't keep her identity secret, so sometimes forgets.

"Oh aye, I understand, milady, least think I do. Won't tell."

Kate has a codename in her world, he gets the idea but he was going to be hung in front of the entire town of Nottingham so he also doesn't quite get it.

"Thanks," Dinah says.

"Mind if I join you?"

"Oh aye, course, milady. Keep tryin' to talk to folks but get all mixed up since na one else is from me time or all though tis Kate."

For a moment he smiles and looks like a teenager but it passes.

Dinah's not the world's greatest tree-climber, but she manages.

"It's got to be hard," she sympathises as she makes her way up. "I'm just lucky my best friends came with me. Don't know what I'd do without them.

"Who's Kate?"

"Met 'er 'ere, milady, she's lovely an strong. 'ero in 'er world."

He opens his mouth to say more about how she helps him feel whole but stops and leans against the tree with a wince. How does he explain to strangers he arrived here from the gallows.

Dinah would, in a way, understand. She knows the stories, after all.

"Really?" And there's a knowing smile that fades when he winces. "Are you OK?"

"Oh aye, milady, 'ealin' up fine. Naught to worry ye."

Dinah nods.

"Well, I have some medical training, if you need. And if you want to talk, I... you probably can't shock me."

He's not quite sure what to say to that and curls up a bit more,

"Thank ye, milady, truly I'm 'ealin' fine."

"So tell me about Kate?"

Subject change for the win. Also, Dinah wants to know about her.

"She's a fighter but 'as na powers, milady. Uses sword an bow an staves, older weapons but she's a modern fighter. 'as such strength to 'er."
