There is a big notice now up on the notce board Nathan provided.

It says:

Martial Arts Training.
All levels welcome. Intermediate and advanced to start at dawn by the bunker. Beginners at 3pm every afternoon. Everyone welcome.

In jeans and a T-shirt, for once (the fishnets are only for fighting), Dinah stands back and admires her handiwork.

Yeah, it's good to feel needed.

Specifically, the part that says "Arts."

"Pikachu."

Oh. "Oh!

"Martial arts," Dinah explains. "Fighting."

"Chuuu?" The ears flop down again.

"I'm sorry," Dinah says. And because she's holding the yellow thing, she cuddles it briefly.

"That doesn't mean you can't draw pictures."

"pika..." it agrees, grudgingly.

Well, cuddles are OK.

Also, here is some hair. Maybe it is edible. Nom nom.

It's not entirely edible, and one might wonder if bleached hair tastes particularly bad.

"Hey, do you like flowers?"

"PIKAPI!"

Dinah grins.

"I used to be a florist, back on my world," she says. "How about we go into Metropolis and get some to brighten up the bunker?"

"Pikapi!" Flowers, INSIDE?! This is amazing!

It is now bouncing a bit with excitement.

Still grinning, Dinah can feel her heart melt just that little bit more.

"OK, want to ride on the motorbike? It goes really fast."

OMG OK

"Pikachu!" Is it faster than running? Because the yellow thing can run fast!

Dinah's frowning though.

"I don't know if I can get a helmet your size, though."

This might be a deal breaker.

"Kachuu!"

This is TRAGEDY!

Not to worry, though. Dinah has a plan.

"Looks like we'll just have to borrow a car."

What? There's loads around, and someone has to let them borrow one, right?

"Pikapi?"

All right! A car! Awesome!

We'll say for the sake of this thread remaining awesome, that Dinah finds a car, leaves a 'borrowed your car brb' notice for the 'owner', and settles the yellow thing in the passenger seat.

"Ready?"

"Pikachu!" It is stretching up to look out the window.

A car! It's like the big flying thing, only not flying! Awesome!

There is more bouncing.

Dianh shoots an amused grin in its direction before she starts the engine, and heads off.

Slow-ish. Then faster. She isn't about to risk the lack-of-seatbelts on the yellow thing, but she's also really good and doesn't expect any crashes any time soon.

WHOA

The outside is MOVING.

"Pikaaaaa..." Its head fwips back and forth, checking the view out of all the windows, before it settles down to watch the landscape with wide eyes.

Dinah laughs as she watches him out of the corner of her eye while driving. She keeps it up all the way until they hit Metropolis and she slows to browse.

"OK, keep an eye put for a florist."

"Pikachu?" It's not sure what that is. But it is sure that this place is neat. Everything's TALL! And shiny!

"Flowers," Dinah explains asthey turn into a fairly quiet street. "A store with - oh, hey there's one."

She slows down as the approach what may be the last working florist in the country.

Wow, you can BUY THEM? Humans are so amazing!

Occasionally dumb, but amazing.

"Pikaaaa..."

Dinah's smiling at him as she pulls up.

"OK, I hope they're willing to negogiate. It's not like I have much cash on me."

"Pi pi pi pikachu pi pika..." It pats itself.

Hmm, no cash.

It offers up a piece of gravel, though. Look, it's pretty! "Pika?"
