Clark is in a sickeningly good mood. There may be whistling. It's probably not because he's restocking the kitchen cupboards with the latest canned goods obtained in town earlier.

He may or may not tell you actually why, depending on who you are and how you ask.

Will he tell Eden?

"Hi, Clark!" she greets as she enters the kitchen, with a smile that's both friendly and a bit weary.

He will likely blush, but probably, yes. He likes Eden!

"Hey," he grins at her and holds out an orange. "I ran down to Florida earlier."

"See anything interesting?" Eden asks - and because of Clark's general mood, she doesn't start bracing for the worst. Probably the crying with Anna helped a little there.

"Nope. Which personally, I'm counting as a good thing. No news is good news around here, as far as I'm concerned, you know?"

Eden chuckles quietly - as she does most things, really.

"I get that. Oh - and I see more food. Be still my heart!"

"I do try to provide," he says wryly, putting away the last few cans. "Of course with rationing, it's not going to last very long, but I figure if Shay can teleport a boat into the field out back, he can pitch in and start bringing food in, too."

"Shay seems nice," Eden says, in a vague way that implies she has nothing much to say about him other than that.

Except for the part where she adds, "D'you know he's part dragon?"

Clark snorts, though he's not amused in any way, really. "Yeah, he mentioned that." He will not let this ruin his good mood, however. "Then, so's Lucy, sort of. We keep this up, we'll have the whole set."

Eden notes the lack of amusement but doesn't mention it. "Like Cabbage Patch kids."

'Gotta catch 'em all' would've been a great (tired, recycled) quip if Eden's knowledge of kids culture doesn't fade out around the mid-90s.

That gets Eden a quizzical look. "Huh?"

Eden takes a moment to marvel at someone who's apparently never played an 80s edition of anything - then feels old - then shakes her head, ever so disappointed.

"Kids today. Are you too busy with your Wii and your Internet to learn your history?"

Clark wasn't even on the planet until 1989.

"Wii?" No, he never had video games. That was Pete's job, but since he moved away, Clark's education in mindless entertainment has taken a nosedive. "We were a little behind the times. You could barely get wireless out here until last year."

He should tell Eden that! She'd stop feeling like an old (spinster, her stepmother would say) maid.

"It's some Nintendo thing. I've seen a few ads." Her shrugs and facial expression says and that's about all I care to know.

An eyebrow raises and she gives a low whistle. "And now I remember why I moved away from a town like this."

"Congratulations," she says brightly.

It's always good when relationships are going well.

"What?" Clark asks before turning around to see who it is. When he does, it does not lessen his confusion any. Nay, it only increases.

"Uh, you're new." This is not a question, Inty.

"Yes. I'm Intuition. It's nice to meet you, Clark."

...She just woke up, okay? She hasn't quite had time to remember how not to be creepy.

Clark gives her a look and then nods slowly.

"You're the psychic girl who came in with Gabriel, right?"

"Yes, I'm a girl. Yes, I came in with Gabriel. No, I'm not psychic."

Inty shrugs.

"I'm Intuition."

"Oh. Well, still, nice to meet you," he replies with a small smile.

She smiles back.

"Thank you for taking care of all of us."

A small, indicative wave to the food.

He shrugs. "Someone else would do it if I didn't, but you're welcome." And orange is held out for her. "Might want to get in on these while they're still fresh."

Clark freezes in place and just stares at her for a minute.

"What did you say?"

Blink.

"...I said thank you?" she tries, puzzled.

"Yeah, I know, just," Clark frowns, not really sure what to say about it. "Nevermind."
