"Yeah, I can't wait for another lecture from Oliver Queen about getting out there and doing things instead of waiting for it to drop on your doorstep," Clark snorts.

"He's not a bad guy, I guess."

"He also totally has a point, Clark."

"Yeah, yeah. Well, he doesn't have ice castles to build."

"Ice castles?"

"It's, uh, an alien thing. I need to sort of find these crystals and use them to build a giant ice castle thing in the arctic."

He steals a quick glance at her. "It's kind of important to me."

She nods. Chloe isn't sure if she gets it, but she can definitely see that it's important to him.

"If you want, I can see what I can dig up about crystals. Just give me any information you have, okay?"

It's not easy to explain, really. But he figures she'll get it when she sees it.

"I know where they are. Well, I know exactly where one of them is. The other two, I know the area, but not the exact location. But yeah, that would help," he smiles down at her.

"It's a deal then," Chloe replies, finally coming to a stop in their stroll.

She looks up at him, still smiling, as she reaches for his other hand. Then, after just staring at him for a few more seconds, she kisses him.

"Sounds good."

Then she stops and looks up at him and Clark can't help but look back down at her, smiling himself.

And then she kisses him, again. Except he can't say he's surprised this time. He kisses her back, arms sliding slowly around her waist.

She had been hoping to take him by surprise again. It was kind of fun, last time. But having him kiss her back is just as fun.

She slides her hands up over his chest and to his neck before wrapping them around his neck for support.

She doesn't really need much support for herself; Clark's got her, with one arm wrapped tightly around her, holding her close against him. His other hand runs gently up and down her back, occcasionally his fingers tangling loosely in her hair.

But it's kind of nice to hold on to him and haver her fingers brush the hairs on the nape of his neck. She deepens the kiss, pressing closer against him.

It's kind of nice to be held on to. It's been... a long time since he did anything like this and while half of him is just sort of blanking out on thinking at all, the other half is trying to keep himself acutely aware of exactly what's going on, how tight he's holding her, how hard he's kissing her. Again: Squishing is bad.

Chloe would very much like to have a third date. That would make squishing kind of a poor option.

She slips a hand downward, sneaking it under his shirt.

There's a little whimper at the back of his throat when he feels her hand against his skin and he only pulls back for the briefest of seconds before he relaxes again, pulling her even closer against him.

Unfortunately for Chloe, has hands are pretty much frozen at the small of her back and in her hair, so it's unlikely he'll be returning the favour. At least not right away.

Someone hasn't done this for a while, and Chloe's willing to take bets that that someone isn't her.

"Relax," she whispers between kisses. "You're not going to hurt me, Clark."

Just the opposite, she hopes. As if to prove it, Chloe uses her free hand to move the one on the small of her back downward.

Clark lets her guide his hand further down, but he's obviously hesitant.

"I might," he whispers back. "I won't mean to but..." He lets that trail off. He's made out with his powers before. That much he knows he can handle and they're not going to get much further than that right now, so he forces himself to try and relax even more.

"I'd totally let you know if you did anything wrong," she promises as she continues to grope and kiss him. "Don't worry. I trust you, Clark."

She trusts him. That, more than any groping she may be doing although that's certainly appreciated, too, erodes away a little more of that ever-present control he puts on himself.

And he discovers that Chloe's ass is even nicer than it was sophomore year.

She lets out a small mew as he finally returns the favor. That feels a lot better than she ever imagined.

Clark tenses for a minute. Was that a good sound or a bad sound? When Chloe doesn't start screaming in pain, he decides it's safe to continue, but more gently than before.

Once in a while, Chloe makes the mewing sound again. It's definitely a good sound, Clark. It means she's enjoying it. By now, her other hand has slipped downward in exploration as well.

That sound is now etched permanently in Clark's mind.

Of course, then her hand starts moving and Clark is back to making the whimpering sound again himself.

Chloe would look very smug right now if she wasn't so busy kissing him. And if her hands weren't so interested in exploring his skin. Those muscles are really nice.

Something is to be said for farm chores.

Something also to be said for Kryptonian genes.

Clark is glad his invulnerability discounts any possibility of being ticklish, because laughing right now would not be a good move. Instead, he just concentrates on how warm her hands are.

Then he slides his hands back to her waist, thumbs teasing under the hem of her shirt.
