They had read the terms for his execution and he had spat defiance in their faces, now just the horrible wait.
Then a horn sounds and suddenly there is hope again as a knife cuts his bonds and then he's falling and crying as the open wounds on his back shoot through with pain and he can't see and the ground feels wrong.
He should get the bag off his head but moving hurts, perhaps he's finally in Hell.

As is the loud, shocked swearing that follows.

When he sees the other man, Will reaches for the knife that's not there and tries to not move too much as the wounds on his back and wrists hurt with each step.

"Just checking, you're not an evil illusionist out to kill me and suck the marrow from my tender, tender bones, right?" Solemnly, peering at Will. "That back looks pretty bad. Don't move too much."

"Who are ye? Should be dead or saved."
no subject
"That'd be a 'maybe,' then." Thoughtfully, as Marley goes to crouch next to Will. "I'm Marley. It doesn't look like you're dead, so we'll say you're saved for now. Who're you and where the hell are we?"
no subject
Will does his best to not cringe too much, its been a bad couple of days.

"No, no, I can't see Sherwood either," Marley thinks, for a moment. He's sure that there was a guy who came in and said something about time travel, but he'd been sleeping then, so he'd missed some of the important parts. "Will Scarlett as in Robin Hood and his Merry Men, right?"
Beat.
"I'm sorely disappointed by the lack of ridiculously coloured tights. No more tuna for you."

The last statement just confuses Will even more and he tries to find a comfortable way to sit up without everything hurting even more,
"'ow do ye know o'us, sir?"

"Oh aye, sir, ye wouldna 'appen to 'ave somethin' I could use for me back? Think its bleedin' 'gain."
no subject
"Not really, I didn't bring any bandages with me. I have a jacket that could be torn into strips."

He's glad of the jacket, but doesn't the best way to use it, that's the problem when you're injured on your back, so just lightly drapes it on his shoulder. There's a fair bit of wincing when the cloth touches the open wounds but Will just bites his lip.
