Will just nods at that and the jacket is helping a bit, everything hurts but slightly less horribly,

"But neither o'us know where we are now, know I've ne'er seen land quite so flate 'fore."

"I have. Pictures, at least," Marley frowns, peering around. "But I still have no idea where we are."

"'rhaps could find someone or a road that would tell us since canna believe there's na other souls out 'ere, 'less we've fallen into Faerie."

"I don't think it's likely that we've fallen into Faerie, but for the moment I won't discount the possibility." Marley shrugs, mildly, looking over at Will. "Just keep an eye on your bone marrow, okay?"

"Why, dinna e'en know what that is? More worried 'bout bleedin' too much."

"Yeah. Torture, right?" Marley frowns. "How much are you bleeding?"

Will blinks at that, it wasn't really torture in his mind, he's an outlaw it was his just punishment,

"Um, na too badly, last whipped me yesterday just been movin' so just 'urtin' is all."

"Okay," The weirdness of the whole situation is starting to dawn on Marley. "We should find people."

He pauses, for a moment, hesitantly. Openly using his powers would be a bad idea in his own time, let alone in front of a man from very far in the past. Marley considers this, and decides to avoid jumping up to get a better view of the land.

"No settlements in sight, though."

Will's just trying not to think too much about things since if he does, he's afraid of what he might do, best to just keep going forward,

"Nay, an na bloody trees."

"I am filled with woe by the lack of trees." Solemn.

If Will wasn't feeling so out of it, he might laugh sadly he doesn't,

"Aye, well, so which direction?"

"If I do something very weird, do you promise not to freak out and try to hit me or run away?" Marley asks, tilting his head. "I may have to knock you out, drag you to civilisation and draw a moustache on you if you do."

"Aye, promise I won't freak out."

Not a phrase Will knows but honestly he doesn't have the energy to get worried about anything more.

"Good Brightly Coloured Past Guy." Marley says, gently, before heading a little way from Will, dropping into a crouch, left eye glowing under his hair. Then, he jumps, a shockwave of blue energy spreading out from his feet, dissipating before it reaches Will.

He jumps very high.

High enough that he can't really be seen.

Perhaps Toronto is in Faerie is what Marley's jumping think since clearly that's something the Fae would be able to do.

Marley's first thought, when he gets up high, using shockwaves to clear away the clouds for a better view, is that he can't really see much in the way of civilisation.

Except that one city, just off in the distance. There appears to be a herd of gazelle heading for it. Promising. Or it would be, if Marley wasn't fairly certain that there shouldn't be any gazelle on what seem to be American plains.

He lands back down with a crash, using another shockwave to slow his fall.
"That way." Pointing.

"Aye, wish 'ad my knife or somethin', forgive me if I'm useless."

Will's not going to ask how Marley can do that since usually if you ask a favor of the Fae, you end up in debt to them.

"A knife wouldn't really help us, here," Marley replies. "Can you walk? Granted, there are quicker ways to get there."

"Aye, think I can, ye mean ye've other gifts?"

"A few," Reluctantly. "I'd hop there, but you might get sick."

"Naught in my stomach to get sick with."

"Okay. Need to figure out a way to pick you up, then." Marley frowns. "Stand on my feet?"

Will nods, wrapping the jacket a little tighter around himself and facing Marley, looking for a way that will work best,

"Aye."

"That's not going to work. Won't be able to move much." Marley frowns.

"Um, could 'old onto to yer back, I guess or 'rhaps ye should just 'ead out that way an come back for me."
