The closer Intuition and Gabriel get to Kansas, the fewer destroyed buildings they find. Inty has noticed. They crossed the border into the state a while ago, and she's mildly concerned that it might be time to stop again before they succeed at attaining their goal.

As the white Mini Cooper trundles along, she stares out the window and ponders. Humanity is getting, she thinks, easier to adjust to.
