The Cooper house has never exactly been home to Diana. She visits it often enough, and it's the first place she takes any newcomers she finds, but it's not home. There's nothing here that feels the same.
Metropolis, however, affords a better opportunity for her to learn about the people and the language she now finds herself surrounded by. The best education one can get about a place is to know the people who inhabit it, she thinks. So today, like many others, Diana is walking slowly along the streets, watching and listening as she goes.
