The more time Claire spends with Toph in their own personal camp just outside the farm, the more she wanders into the farm itself from time to time. She diesn't even minid if she meets a Gabriel any more: they don't look exactly like Sylar, after all, and Toph says they're sincere.

It's not that she doesn't like Toph: she does, a lot, but she brings out the big sister in Claire and sometimes it's nice to be with people closer to your own age.

Anyway, Sokka's not back yet, and she's worried. Worried Claires mean the kitchen is taken over with cupcakes. All with blue and white frosting.

Sokka is in the passenger seat of the car today, which means the jeep is jumping and bumping just a little bit more than usual. But the younger boy isn't a bad driver, just new to it.

And honestly, Sokka needed the rest. He's been sleeping like crap on this trip.

"You getting hungry?" he asks. An idle question, but with his eyes out the window and the occasional tail-less rabbitsquirrel running by, it isn't really idle.

Mel, Dinah, Loo and Hana are sitting together on the edge of the bunker. Well, Mel's sitting. Dinah's sort of leaning against the raised part of the wall, Loo is standing on the very edge, holding on to Mom's arm for safety, and Hana is lying on her front, fascinated by the shoulder of Dinah's leather trenchcoat.

"Well, yes, she can do it," Dinah's saying. I'm just not sure the first uses of Babs' new system should be spying on your brother, sorry."

Mel scowls at her, relenting to the hero mentality but resenting it just a little. "If they're not back soon, I'm going to ask again."

"I know," Dinah agrees. "I've worried about people I love before, too. What was the other favour?"

"That's all you," Mel says. "We've got all sorts of fighty people around, so I guess we could handle an attack, but I want to see if people can do some training together. And Steph says you're an amazing fighter, so..."

"...so you want me to lead a regular training session?" Dinah says. "Of course. I'd love to get back into teaching."

Mel beams. "Oh, and did Steph say he wanted to see the two of us going at it?"

- it's around this point, that they could be interrupted. Or later.

Lucy had been walking towards the park, planning to meet a friend and head to lunch with her later when--

She doesn't know what it was, entirely, beyond light and sound and change, the place she knows replaced by one she doesn't. There wasn't the (once-familiar) pull of magic with the change, and the only place she can think of having landed in a similar manner is one that's now barred to her.

But there's no immediate threat that she can see or hear, which leaves her looking about with curiosity more than fear for the moment.

And rather hoping to find someone who might tell her where she is.

[OOC: The mun has some health problems, which may result in slow tagging and/or pauses, but will do her absolute best to respond as quickly as possible.]

[oos: A strange encounter leaves many unanswered questions.]

Ana never really liked hot weather which is why, generally, she had never traveled out west before and the reason she had her hair tied up/under the cowboy had she wore. Her horses hooves clicked against the pavement as they moved closer and closer to finding a hopeful way to America. Though to be honest the former RPD STARS non-com wasn't sure how much longer she had on the road.

Spotting a shady spot not to far up ahead she moved herself and her dog closer to the shade and for some much needed rest. Not to mention she wanted to look at the card again. Maybe there would be a passerby or something. It would be nice to talk to another human again.
