First, Sokka found Mel. Then Sokka bribed Mel with a few hours of watching Hana the-feverish-fire-breathing-baby so Mel could get some sleep. Then Mel went into the haunted kitchen and brought Sokka some soup. Sokka then exchanged the baby for soup and went to find Steph. Steph proceeded to thank him for his gift of sick-relieving soup and then make fun of him for not practicing his kata after telling her that she sucked. Sokka had argued strenuously.

Which had led to Sokka outside, standing in a field just outside of the farm house, with Steph sitting on a blanket nearby with a bowl of soup in her hands, watching him smugly.

Smug because he's running through kata and she's yelling out helpful* suggestions.




*Helpful in the way that "Do it better" and "Yes, like that, only without sucking" are helpful pieces of advice.

House has a hospital now.

If you want him, he'll be inside, limping around inspecting things. Any expired meds get thrown in the trash. He's also got a list of machines that need looking-at. Wherever Fluffy Teleportation Guy got this place, he's impressed. The building is small but well equipped.

And he's already got an eye on the great big administrator's office. There is a wheely chair.

There's a happy Xander around, who was driving a rig onto the farm. Took a long time to load it up with supplies from the fix-it store, but it was worth it. The appearance of even *more* supplies of cement, brick, and so on was another pleasant surprise to the happy carpenter. He wanted to shake the hands of the guy responsible. Likely even more since he was really grateful. Luckily the fix-it place had a cement mixer among many other tools. Even a portable generator so he could do a little with some power tools too. He jumped out of the rig, and started to unload a few items.

He then added a note of thanks to the board, and reminder to people interested in helping with construction to please report in. First priority was gonna be getting more bathrooms and showers around here for the growing community, and proceed from there.

Shay has been busy. He has tasks to do, after all.

In the morning, he brought in an orchard of apple trees. They came in one tree at a time, scattered close together near the farmhouse.

At noon, he cleared out a space in the ground, and then brought in a small, rural hospital from some small town. Mostly intact - Whatever killed all the people in the town apparently didn't damage buildings - if in need of some repair.

In the afternoon, he brought in building supplies - Bricks and wood and stuff for mixing cement, but no cement mixer.

All that work was tiring, so he's now sprawled out on his fort, sleeping.
