Stevie here has, over recent weeks, been rediscovering the questionable joys of pulling all-nighters. However, that's not why he slept so badly last night. (One reason is that makeshift workshops do not make comfortable sleeping areas; Vader II's semi-finished cockpit has given him muscle cramps. The other reason is not open for discussion right now.)

What he really wants is someone to tell him he's right.

He might not be in a mood to admit it, though, but the narration has no qualms with informing the world that he's not entirely sure where he might find such a person. Or, at least, such a person that he would want to catch himself taking advice from.

So, though he knows for a fact that she'd be the last person to tell him he's right, he's seeking out Satya. He's managed (mostly) to straighten out the clothes he sort-of-slept in, and he is not going to talk about what went on last night. Actually, following the grand tradition of distracting oneself from one's problems with utterly unrelated and/or awesome stuff, what he wants to talk to her about is the possibility of something long and bright that goes whing-whing.

Sam's relaxing. Which in this case means he's wandering around the ruins of Los Angeles, looking for anything shiny or interesting.

So far he's turned up remarkably little, but then he hasn't searched most of the city yet.
