Somewhere after the eggs and bacon breakfast, and after a trip into town, and return with many bags, there was the first lesson on gun cleanliness. Which went well enough for educational, but dull on both sides, even though Rachel managed to look attentive and Jo managed to look severe.

With that over, Jo grabbed her brown leather jacket and made for the front door.

"I found a spot this morning while you were out."

She spent most of the day wandering around Lawrence, wanting to see it from all angles. Know your territory better than anyone else, never be surprised. And she knows Lawrence now, from the air and from the floor, through sight and scent and sound.

Not as well as she should, not yet, but she will.

It's late afternoon when she starts making her way down the road to the two occupied houses. She'll pass the gun-family first (Winchester?) but Rachel has no intention of introducing herself. Partly because she has no idea if Jo's said anything yet.

Partly because she just doesn't want to.

But there is a tall, beautiful blonde walking casually down the road with her hands in her pocket and a full shoulder holster under her jacket.

After talking to Nameless Guy, Will watches the sun come up from in a tree and stays up there, watching the farm wake up.

The doctor's cute, if you like that sort of thing, and saving him and the little girl had given Elle a thrill of power she hadn't felt in a long time. But before she can really panic over letting Sylar go (Her dad? Is going to kill her) there is a flash and a crack and she's standing by the long asphalt line of an empty highway.

It's twilight, and the heavy overhead clouds are gathering ominously. But that wasn't lightning; Elle Bishop knows lightning, and though the clouds above crackle and flicker with electricity just as much as she does, it doesn't explain why she's here and not, well... where she was, five seconds ago.

"Shit," she says, the word ugly in her sweet voice and her blue eyes cold. Elle stares around for some sign of life, someone she can blame this on, and realises a horrible truth; if she doesn't find shelter soon, she's going to get pretty drenched. And these boots are real leather and her hair takes forever to blowdry and ugh, ugh, ugh.

Which is why there's an Elle, walking angrily along the highway towards Kansas, electricity still flickering occasionally between her fingers.

Lucy hasn't returned home.

Well. That's not terribly surprising. Disappointing, in some ways, though. Not all--it's an adventure, and it's far better than sitting for exams, and it's another world.

But it's one without her brothers or sister, and she's surprised at how lonely that's made her feel. Almost as surprised at how much it makes her want to be alone, though she's sternly told herself that it's becoming ridiculous.

Stop pouting, Lucy thinks at herself, irritably, and when she goes for her walk outside the farm today it's with the intention to stop and talk to anyone she sees instead of changing her direction.

[OOC: The mun's health problems rather took over for the last few months, but they've been improving of late and she (sheepishly) is doing her best to pick up on playing again. Tags may still be slow or have pauses, but they'll be steady as possible.]
