A tale of two expectant women:

The first has been either in the hospital or around the farm. Hospital equipment has been useful for monitoring Dana's son's progress, though now that she was in her third trimester, it was getting a lot harder to get around. Though she still walked a little, close to the Cooper farm. William seemed to like it as evidenced by the frequent kicks she was getting. You can catch her around or in the hospital, pregnant belly very obvious now.

The other was up in New York, and having to limit patrols to a close proximity to Hogwarts. Mostly for lack of bathroom access in the city, and she certainly didn't want to get caught with her ah...pants down if a triffid showed up in the vicinity. Right now though Kate had a blanket, and was sitting under the Great Oak in Sherwood after she went through the cabinet again. It really seemed peaceful in here.

(ooc: usual drill for multiple pups, just say which in your tag, and go for it. Open for a long time.)

Metropolis stinks.

Rachel's a bitch.

Jo's still doing her own thing. Jo's always doing her own thing. Dean shouldn't mind that so much.

He misses Sam.

However, there's always good food on the Cooper farm. So guess where Dean and the Impala are headed?

Wouldn't hurt to check up on that kid with the interest in demons, either.

(He left a message with the usual hunter's channels -- still in existence, even here where they don't use the term 'hunters' -- for Jo. Figures she'll tell Rach, the two of them so freakin' buddy-buddy.)

So -- eventually, somewhere between Metropolis and the Cooper farm's entrance gate -- there's a 67 Impala growling its way along the dirty roads, belting out Metallica.

Ai-Ling figured out the radio and took directions from Oracle. That was weeks ago. She's been walking from Lawrence to the farm since then. It's not been an uneventful journey.

Some people may have been made tough by this world. For Ai-Ling, it's more like the months in this world have done what a year at the South Pole couldn't do; they've eroded away years of soft palace living to the hard sharp edge underneath; the girl that walks towards the farm now is less the ward of a king, and more the daughter of a terrorist and a soldier, and the granddaughter of a warrior and a thief.

She's in Earth clothes, and looks comfortable in them, high braid swinging against her back as she strides towards the farm, hand resting on the hilt of her sword.

So this is where her husband was last seen.

A small boat floats up the Arkansas river towards Metropolis, its sole passenger an old man.

He... really doesn't look very well, though most of it's exhaustion... and the fact that the soles of his feet have been fairly thoroughly shredded at some point recently.
