Steph left with Zinda on very near the first time the Aerie One showed itself at the farm since the birds left on vacation. That left Mel with her children - well, usual army of babysitters as well, but when it comes right down to it, just Mel and the girls.

And a whle lot of bile to stew in.

The twins are napping right now, and Mel is sitting outside the bunker, sharpening her stakes and planning the next few weeks on the farm. She'd probably be pleasant to most people.

Well, unless they were a particular person. Then Mel might be less pleasant.
