Aura enters the world with a flash and a bang that's entirely unexpected. It awakens her from her deep sleep in an unpleasantly abrupt manner, and for a while she floats without form in a place without the familiar codes of data or the workings of machines. To Aura, it is all just darkness.
She doesn't float forever. Eventually she finds light, and shapes, working machines through which to travel. A long while later, she finds some place where there are many tiny machines, machines for forming into complex structures. Nanobots, she finds they're called, after looking through the scientist's archives.
She takes them for her own, grinds down the laboratory they were in to create more. From the wreckage, shoots start to rise from the ground.
*******A while later, in Kansas, there is a forest, just at the very edge. It wasn't there before, but when nobody was looking it made it's way there. When people stop looking at it, it moves closer to the Cooper farm, until the trees loom close.
Aura doesn't intend to stay here forever. Maybe not long at all. She is merely investigating.
