Lawrence, Kansas, is not a spectacular town. It does not have neon lights pointing to it detailing "EVERYTHING IMPORTANT IN THE WORLD TO BE FOUND HERE". Given the recent Apocalypse, it doesn't even have lights. Or people anymore, for that matter.

Still, it's home.

And what's more, that's home. Once she started recognizing landmarks, Dianne began leading the way, and lead she did- directly to an innocent, perfectly ordinary if slightly broken-down home. She pulls the Impala into the driveway (which could use some re-paving, to be honest), and steps out, stretching, and waits for Faith.

Jean let Tumnus off at the far edge of the encampment. The nervous, stuttering, fawn was not as ready to storm a compound of unknown people with a peerless smile. (She didn't hold it against him. It was a attitude she much respected in sane people.) She didn't know more than he'd told her, but she was ready enough to find out whatever else she could. Whether the situation turned for better or for ill there would be educational purposes.

Which was why she came out of horizon, just walking toward the Cooper Farm. She looked calm and relaxed and to be contemplating the overgrown grass and trees just as much as the coming buildings. Her gaze swept over the layout generally, while other parts of her mind studied it very specifically.

"Hello, the Farm. Is anyone about?"

Angela is sitting by the lake again, reading. She had a book in her bag when she came here. Oddly enough, it's one of her mother's: Dealing with Unfortunate Circumstances: A Guidebook for Coping by Kim Bauer. It had come out just before she was taken, and she'd intended to read it for a while. No time like the present.

She's not generally one to read self-help. In fact, she's not reading very much of it. She's mostly skimming through the autobiographical part and looking at the pictures. And thinking, mostly.
