Things are happening in the streets above parts of the subway. Some wires are bending, moving, connecting. A couple of streetlights pop on, then off, then on again. Here and there, bits of the power grid come to life. Everything's going erratically, but...

He's been here. He's always been here, and since the cataclysm, he's been walking the continent, doing what he could.

An old man walks into the farmyard, leaning heavily on a stick, face tired and pained. He needs to be in the safe zone for a while.
